As much as senators fans would want to lay claim to ending the Leafs' playoff hopes it is the Capitals' fanbase that has the stronger claim. Over the past two seasons the Leafs have thrown away 10 points (3-5-0) against a team that boils down to Alex Ovechkin, Olaf Kolzig, and twenty-one other warm bodies.

Japers' Rink has a preview of the game that would seem to give heart to Leafs' faithful but he cannot trick us. The Capitals are a huge bogey team to the Leafs and the game is being played at the ACC so at the first sign of trouble expect some sawdust to be ground from the Leafs' sticks. I just hope that the quote I gave JP doesn't end up making me look like an idiot. God help me if Poti shuts down Mats and adds a goal or two to open his account.

I forgot to put a poll up in the recap of the Rangers' game so there was no player of the game vote but I think that giving it to VeTo would be fair so he's in the race with Antro and Mats and Jiri who won for the Pens game. I'll keep a running tally of the results in the right sidebar. Also, in the pre-game comments, I want to get a prediction game going so put in your guesses for who will score take the first shot, get the first penalty, and score the first goal.
