Happy Jersey Unveiling Day!

It's finally here! The Leafs' new jersey courtesy of Alec Brownscombe at the site that shall not be named.

No more TML logo, simple Maple Leaf, and classy stripes. All in all it's keeping the hit (or non-disaster) parade going for the Original Six. Could have used a little more white and the away (judging by the Marlies' jersey) will lack blue. They missed a chance to incorporate some of the club's history especially by keeping the current crest on the chest but they avoided the desire to make changes for changes sake that killed so many other jerseys.

The other team sharing Jersey Unveiling Day did significantly worse.

I don't mind the jerseys so much, but they're a downgrade. Pogge looks awesome with the white equipment though.

The camera adds 10 pounds...

and apparently it makes jerseys look worse. I walked by Centresports in the ACC after work and saw the jerseys in person and they actually look much better than I initially thought.

They are still a little plain but considering the way some others have gone it could have been worse.
