Definitely
As someone that remembers the blogspot days (basically me and my dad) I remember when I showed up to the site and a single comment was a reason to celebrate.
Now I am gone all day and come back to find dozens of comments, a couple of fanposts, some photoshopped pictures, and it’s like being a visitor. That feeling is awesome.

You have officially forfeit your christmas present.
Also, congratulations on another record-breaking month :)
I should have said that visited consistently back in June of 2006 when this whole odyssey began.

I used to be happy when I got like three comments on my blog, haha. Now I throw up an FTB and I’m like “come on 100”.

I’d prefer something like “Heart of gold, liver of steel”, thank you very much!
And I don’t bite but I may give affectionate nibbles.

If I May
Being a recent slummer around this here bastion of hope and insanity in Leafdom, my opinion may mean little, but this is by far one of the most enjoyable and well written blogs for us Leafs fans.
Of course, I’m still stuck in CA, so maybe the brain melted my sun…errr…ya you know what I meant

I know what you mean. It’s fun and passionate without being just a lot of posts like “OMG LOL LEAFS RULE!”. Except when I’ve had a few.
Thanks guys, that really means a lot to us. :)

Speaking of Well Written Blogs
Anyone other than PPP, Chemmy and myself cruise the Battle of Ontario site latly? They have some real winner Sens fans commenting there, I mean and people still call Leaf Fans the biggest assholes in the world
Because Taking The Leafs Seriously Is Not An Option
I don’t mind seeing stuff from opposing team fans (viz. FrankD from pensburgh, quality fella) but whenever I see any of the following in a post: “Laffs”, “1967” etc my eyes glaze over and I just skip reading the rest of it automagically. It’s like a reflex now.
At least be original when slamming my team! geesh.
ditto
I’m not sure if it’s more sad that the worst another fan can say is 1967 laffs, of that over the course of 41 years, the worst anyone’s come up with is just that…
anywho, what keeps me off most other sites like this is just that. Mindless drivel and homerisms (not the simpson kind, but the blind allegiance kind)

1967 and laffs is the quickest way to show that you’re not that bright. There are so many funnier reasons to rip us than those two. Especially when it comes from teams that the Leafs have owned in the playoffs or have never even won a Cup.

quality Leafs blogs
Yes, I do concur on Die hard Blue and White. I’d also like to point out the “wonderful” World of Loser Domi. I’ve heard it’s quite smashing

Thank You
PPP, thanks for this site. You deserve the current and future success.
Something I love about this site is that there’s new stuff popping up all the time. Some other blogs I visit often don’t have new posts for weeks – not a problem here. And it’s not just the quantity – it’s the quality of writing and the quality of the commenters that makes this really worthwhile.
Thanks again, and if you will excuse me, I’m working on photoshopping Luke Schenn’s head on Wendell Clark’s body…. just kidding, that would be blasphemous :-)
And Leafer bloggers are the nicest I have encountered.
Ain't nothing but puck drops and poke checks, babydoll.

A Toronto sports blog, where we unequivocally and unapologetically support the home team...
Congrats
The fact that this is the first site I usually visit each morning is a testament to how far it’s come from the old blogspot days.
It’s a really great community and I’m glad to be a small part of it…

my assets are ok as is my DNA!
thanx PPP!
PPP
I wonder if you remember my very first comment where I asked if you were Damien Cox after he Spin-cycled “And the Leafs draft seventh. Seventh, perhaps, in a six-player draft.” Turns out it was something FourHabsFans had said which you mentioned in a comment that Damien obviously read and then I saw it in his “blog” and couldn’t sleep.
I remember.
Cheers, eh. Keep on rockin’.

My Oasis
I am more of a recent Leafs fan, I didn’t really start watching or following them until Larry Murphy’s 2nd season as the team’s head coach.
Anyway, as a good friend of mine, who I met in university and is a life-long Leafs fan once told me, “you’re not a true Leafs fan unless you love the team but hate everyone on it”.
The last couple of seasons of being a fan has been, as I like to put it, like trying to hug a cactus. The more you love them the more they hurt you.
This place as I have discovered, is like an oasis in a vast desert filled with rampant and uncontrollable Leaf-hating and the odd occasional cactus that I still try to hug despite my better judgment.
Now with that out of the way, let’s get back to trashing Raycroft’s nonexistent glove-hand and trying to forgot Reichel’s notorious and double-tee-eff-inducing penalty-slap-shot.

I must have missed the Larry Murphy coaching years. Must have been right after he won those cups with Detroit and I was drowning my sorrows at the bottom of some grappa bottle.
MIKE
Murphy.
My bad.
I gotta stop trying to write posts before I’ve had my 2 cups of joe in the morning.

It’ll happen. I woke up today and thought Raycroft was still a Leaf but then I had some OJ and things cleared up. Scariest 5 minutes of my life though.

This place is like a comfy old sofa. A good place to watch what could be a really long and uncomfortable season.
