Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

The Wendel Clark Banner Raising Ceremony.
I was at the ACC when the Leafs scored in the 2002 ECF and it was not close to being as loud as it was last night. Great choice for the song. Many throats were raw and hands were numb but no one stopped cheering.
Wendel's speech was the epitome of the man. To the point, humble, and perfect.

Agreed.

Could’ve done without the music during the actual banner raising though — couldn’t hear the crowd. I thought the same thing about Obama’s victory speech. Whatever union organizes these things must have some strict music bylaws. I’d rather just hear the people cheering.

Agreed

My biggest pet peeve is when they arrange the mics to keep crowd noise down. Our corner of the upper bowl had a couple of great WEN-DEL! chants going and you can’t hear them.

I wonder

How he felt about all the shots of him just BEASTING on other players on fights.

In any case, that was kind of beautiful, and I may or may not have cried…but only when he looked like he was going to!

That was a great

song selection.

Lovely ceremony. Long live Clark.

I was wondering why Wendel’s Leafs crest was one of those vintage 51(?) point maple leaf and not the 11 point one that he wore most of his career? Are they all like that because I thought I saw some with the other maple leaf crests.
