Critical...
…I will enforce a strict limit on your spamming.

You get a free pass for the first period. After that, you will be on a very tight leash. Anything more than a few perfunctory comments will result in the revocation of key privileges.
by clark4calder on Nov 25, 2008 7:28 PM EST up reply actions
What qualifies as perfunctory? Can I make sexytime doll comments, or are those gonna get me in trouble (other than with Winkle and the NSFW crowd)? And I’d like to know what privileges will be revoked should I be a little naughty. Do I really want these privileges?
You will have a 5 sexytime doll comment limit in periods 2 and 3. And yes, I think there are some privileges that you do want. For example, I may not give you first choice of weapon in future duels.
by clark4calder on Nov 25, 2008 7:33 PM EST up reply actions
Wow
You’re all kinds of harsh tonight, C4C. Okay, I’ll play. No more than 5 sexytime doll comments per period. But that’s only because I always want first choice of weapon in future duels.
If I comply with your standards, do I automatically get first choice from here on?
I’m just doing what’s best for you Mabel.
First choice will be determined on a duel-by-duel basis.
by clark4calder on Nov 25, 2008 7:37 PM EST up reply actions
Sure you are, that’s what they all say.
And what’s in it for me, other than continued priviliges if I keep in line? Isn’t there anything else that I get?
You mean other than a passing grade on your stats exam?
by clark4calder on Nov 25, 2008 7:42 PM EST up reply actions
Oh get off my back, I’m trying to study and dodge a skeezy musician (other than blurr) and listen to the game.
And yes, I mean other than a passing grade on my stats exam, smartass. I want incentives, dammit. Can you provide anything else?
Hmmm
Returned tupperware?
Excellent coffee?
Fine Corinthian leather?
Reclining bucket seats?

The best part
is that in my imagination I have my face on all the players. Although it gets a little creepy..

dammit
I haven’t memorized this year’s roster yet…. :(
by Karina on Nov 25, 2008 7:28 PM EST up reply actions
A little creepy?
Understatement. The only thing creepier is picturing Jared’s face on every player. Shudder.
I know theres a “enough of me to go around” joke in here somewhere

by JaredFromLondon on Nov 25, 2008 7:42 PM EST up reply actions
Me? I started what? You’re the one who got all “wouldn’t it be nice if Mabel brained herself”. I just didn’t want to get distracted from my studies with thoughts of “more than enough of Jared”. That’s all.
now your twisting your words to make you sound better.
Your female tricks don’t work on me, I’ve read the book!

I didn’t twist nothing. I just told you what happened. And my female tricks would totally work on you, if I was using them. But I’m not. I have to save them for my sexytime doll comments.
don’t you play innocent with me, I see through your lies

And Blake still hasn’t come off the ice after the pre-game skate.
by clark4calder on Nov 25, 2008 7:30 PM EST up reply actions
Aren’t you just a ball of sunshine. He’s perfect tonight so far, and for all we know, he’ll continue to be so.
Hey, it could happen, right? RIGHT?
it is possible...
didn’t he play awesome at the Spengler cup last year?
Atlanta’s forwards… aside from Kovalchuk… are of the same quality…
by Karina on Nov 25, 2008 7:32 PM EST up reply actions
For sure. He can’t skate by on charity work and his eyebrows alone!

Hey Godd – looks like you can hear the interview here:

Wait, you're going to subject yourself to the Omen?
On purpose? Wow. You truly are the king of kings.
Listening to it now…sounds like the host was bashing Damien a bit and Damien called in to defend himself, in his words, “in the interests of good journalism.”
by clark4calder on Nov 25, 2008 7:40 PM EST up reply actions
I heard
he was getting worked for rushing the Burke story, so he called in to throw the headline writer under the bus?
He called in to laugh at the foibles of the sporting world, clearly. And the host totally rolled over and let Damien scratch his fuzzy little belly. Smite him dammit!
by clark4calder on Nov 25, 2008 7:47 PM EST up reply actions
Did he comment on
“Canada’s ongoing passion play” aka calling Leafs fans dipshits and trolling Cliff Fletcher?
Alas he did not. But he was so very magnanimous and repeatedly said that he was “ok” with being criticized. So very many times…

Your funeral, Mabel…I’m just tryin’ to be of help. But if you want to be riding and laughing and cornholing instead of studying, that’s your call.

You know me too well
I totally want to be riding and laughing and cornholing instead of studying.
I think I’ll give the skeezy musician a call back and see if he’s available…
I appreciate that. I want to have some fun tonight, and you’re being all mean. I have to take what I can get…
Oh Mabel…whatever shall I do with you? I’m trying to keep you on the straight and narrow in advance of your big stats exam. But if you want fun, I can’t let you go skeezy.
by clark4calder on Nov 25, 2008 8:12 PM EST up reply actions
IOh, ‘m sure you’ll come up with something…
And you can’t let me go skeezy? Do you have an alternative?
Fail – that was supposed to read
Oh, I’m sure you’ll come up with something.
Too much stats and skeeze on the brain, perhaps?
Apparently so...
…and I probably have an alternative.
NSFPPP.
