Must not spend all night trying to win spam crown. Stats is of vital importance, right?

by Mabel on Nov 25, 2008 7:20 PM EST reply actions

Critical...

…I will enforce a strict limit on your spamming.

by clark4calder on Nov 25, 2008 7:21 PM EST up reply actions

How strict?

Should I stop spamming now? And what sort of wrath will I incur if I go over?

by Mabel on Nov 25, 2008 7:25 PM EST up reply actions

You get a free pass for the first period. After that, you will be on a very tight leash. Anything more than a few perfunctory comments will result in the revocation of key privileges.

by clark4calder on Nov 25, 2008 7:28 PM EST up reply actions

What qualifies as perfunctory? Can I make sexytime doll comments, or are those gonna get me in trouble (other than with Winkle and the NSFW crowd)? And I’d like to know what privileges will be revoked should I be a little naughty. Do I really want these privileges?

by Mabel on Nov 25, 2008 7:31 PM EST up reply actions

You will have a 5 sexytime doll comment limit in periods 2 and 3. And yes, I think there are some privileges that you do want. For example, I may not give you first choice of weapon in future duels.

by clark4calder on Nov 25, 2008 7:33 PM EST up reply actions

Wow

You’re all kinds of harsh tonight, C4C. Okay, I’ll play. No more than 5 sexytime doll comments per period. But that’s only because I always want first choice of weapon in future duels.

If I comply with your standards, do I automatically get first choice from here on?

by Mabel on Nov 25, 2008 7:36 PM EST up reply actions

I’m just doing what’s best for you Mabel.

First choice will be determined on a duel-by-duel basis.

by clark4calder on Nov 25, 2008 7:37 PM EST up reply actions

Sure you are, that’s what they all say.

And what’s in it for me, other than continued priviliges if I keep in line? Isn’t there anything else that I get?

by Mabel on Nov 25, 2008 7:41 PM EST up reply actions

You mean other than a passing grade on your stats exam?

by clark4calder on Nov 25, 2008 7:42 PM EST up reply actions

Oh get off my back, I’m trying to study and dodge a skeezy musician (other than blurr) and listen to the game.

And yes, I mean other than a passing grade on my stats exam, smartass. I want incentives, dammit. Can you provide anything else?

by Mabel on Nov 25, 2008 7:45 PM EST up reply actions

Hmmm

Returned tupperware?
Excellent coffee?
Fine Corinthian leather?
Reclining bucket seats?

by clark4calder on Nov 25, 2008 7:49 PM EST up reply actions

Tempting. Tell me more about this Corinthian leather and reclining bucket seats, and I might be all over that.

The best part

I haven’t memorized this year’s roster yet…. :(

by Karina on Nov 25, 2008 7:28 PM EST up reply actions

A little creepy?

Understatement. The only thing creepier is picturing Jared’s face on every player. Shudder.

Because Taking The Leafs Seriously Is Not An Option

by JaredFromLondon on Nov 25, 2008 7:42 PM EST up reply actions

Me? I started what? You’re the one who got all “wouldn’t it be nice if Mabel brained herself”. I just didn’t want to get distracted from my studies with thoughts of “more than enough of Jared”. That’s all.

by Mabel on Nov 25, 2008 7:46 PM EST up reply actions

now your twisting your words to make you sound better.
Your female tricks don’t work on me, I’ve read the book!

Because Taking The Leafs Seriously Is Not An Option

by JaredFromLondon on Nov 25, 2008 7:47 PM EST up reply actions

I didn’t twist nothing. I just told you what happened. And my female tricks would totally work on you, if I was using them. But I’m not. I have to save them for my sexytime doll comments.

Aren’t you just a ball of sunshine. He’s perfect tonight so far, and for all we know, he’ll continue to be so.

Hey, it could happen, right? RIGHT?

didn’t he play awesome at the Spengler cup last year?

For sure. He can’t skate by on charity work and his eyebrows alone!

by LeafFanInVan on Nov 25, 2008 7:52 PM EST up reply actions

Exactly. What have his eyebrows done for anyone lately? Other than keep sweat out of his eyes? Nothing for nobody.

Cox Bloc Needs Help

Did anyone hear the Omen on Leafs Lunch today (or maybe it was Watters?)

by Godd Till on Nov 25, 2008 7:33 PM EST reply actions

Wait, you're going to subject yourself to the Omen?

On purpose? Wow. You truly are the king of kings.

by Mabel on Nov 25, 2008 7:38 PM EST up reply actions

Listening to it now…sounds like the host was bashing Damien a bit and Damien called in to defend himself, in his words, “in the interests of good journalism.”

by clark4calder on Nov 25, 2008 7:40 PM EST up reply actions

Too easy, but...

…what would Damien know about good journalism? Did he read about it in a book?

by Mabel on Nov 25, 2008 7:43 PM EST up reply actions

I heard

he was getting worked for rushing the Burke story, so he called in to throw the headline writer under the bus?

by Godd Till on Nov 25, 2008 7:43 PM EST up reply actions

Oh

And thanks much c4c! Hopefully I can pay you back by posting tonight…

by clark4calder on Nov 25, 2008 7:48 PM EST up reply actions
