Do we need any more proof that Mats is about to stab us in the chest? This is what I found on icejerseys.com when I searched for Sundin Jersey.

Noooooooooo....
please no.
Please go somewhere like Anaheim, claiming that you wanted out of the spotlight and into the sunlight…

He could have gone to Ottawa at the deadline to try and win a cup and I wouldn’t have cared. I’m just upset he went back on his word.

florida
seems popular with ex leafs these days…

if he really wants to win...
he should take a pay cut, and sign up in SJ…
20-3-1. not too shabby a record…

Hell, I might start blogging for Fear The Fin just to try to win a cup…

That would be acceptable to me. Signing in Detroit for peanuts would also not make me vomit blood.

so
just Montreal and Ottawa are the no-no’s?

somewhere
west where we don’t have to hear about it too much? or way south where nobody cares?

I prefer West. or Detroit. even Chicago would be fine.

please
not vancouver
Although seeing as how they’re currently using Kyle Wellwood as a #2 center…. they could use him.
And then I could stalk him.

Chicago i could handle...
but not a cup contender this year…

Vancouver just makes so much sense to me. A Cdn team, a team in need of offense, a team with the best goalie in the world, a decent Swedish contingent…

Stop it
Not fucking Vancouver. I already want to firebomb the city like Dresden so don’t give me another reason to do it.

Can I ask why the VanCity hate?

I hate the city of Vancouver and it has nothing to do with hockey. I find the place absolutely soulless and I get this weird feeling of claustrophobia whenever I visit.
Anyplace that makes me wish I was in Calgary has something desperately wrong with it.

Sorry, after nearly 20 visits the place just hasn’t grown on me…also, I’ve never visited a place (other than Napoli) with worse drivers and more confused pedestrians.

It’s not you though. It’s everyone else :P

OK
well I’m hoping he doesn’t go there, just so you guys won’t be so mad at him.
Mats is sensitive. He feels pain, just like you and I. He cries real tears.

I’ll believe that when he cries at a press conference and says ’I promised Wendel I would cry".

Sundin would never cry in public. Plus, he’d be wearing his poker shades. He only cries on my shoulder, late at night.

But wouldn’t Tomas Kaberle get jealous? You better make sure he doesn’t know

Tomas gets his turn. It’s an emotional time for everyone.

Personally, any team but Montreal is equal on the annoyance level. Ottawa is no different than Florida in my eyes.
Even Montreal has nothing to do with the rivalry, just that it’s the specific team he wouldn’t go to at the deadline.

I can understand
Montreal. And Ottawa, too.
That’s why I prefer he goes out west, where we won’t really see him.

I am gradually
Getting to the point where I don’t care where he goes anymore

Anywhere that’s a legit contender is ok in my books, excluding Montreal or the Rangers.
Ottawa’s not a contender, so if he went there I’d be pissed.

I think he’s going to end up with Hershey Bears.
They’re the strongest (Calder) Cup contender, they play in the east, and if Mats wants it to be all about the journey it might as well be by bus.
