Mike Milbury is Still Crying About Ron Wilson
"Hogwash! Get a grip, Ron. You haven't scored an NHL goal in years, blocked a shot or thrown a body check. Then again, I am not sure he did any shot blocking or body checking during his playing career.
Grow up, my friend. The holier than thou stuff you’re spitting out at the new Vatican is growing older by the day. You knew the score when you signed here for a Brink’s truck full of dough."
Mike Milbury apparently is still an effective NHL player who works at the CBC for free. Hey Mikey, Ron Wilson calls you dumb because you are dumb. He called the media dumb on Saturday night (when you started crying) because the media kept asking Leafs players about the hiring of Brian Burke and future player transactions. Hint: the Leafs players don't work in the front office in between games.

Damn...
sounds like someone is a little bitter about being a lowly member of the media instead of the GM he once was.
Proving at least one peson in the South CARES about hockey!

Did you watch Satellite Hotstove on Saturday? Ron Wilson called the media dumb for asking players about front office deals, and Mike Milbury cried about it on air for the entire second intermission. I don’t know why Ron Mclean hasn’t stabbed Hrudey and Milbury.
Ron: if you’re reading this Down Goes Brown and MF37 would probably talk hockey with you during intermission for free if you let them watch games from the press box. They may not have played in the NHL but they know a shit ton more about hockey than Mike Milbury or Kelley “girl’s name, girl’s pony tail, girl’s ribbon in my hair” Hrudey.

Guilty for being a coach
Wilson does not seem to want to pretend that he is the media’s best friend and confidant. This tactic can only come back to bite you in the ass. He calls things as he sees them and does so in a very respectful way without resorting to personal attacks or hateful character associations. Milbury’s piece is the exact opposite of this. Most journalists should have a pretty thick skin working in a game where they are constantly told their work is shit. Wilson is not a friend to the media, he’s a coach. If a journalist wants a friend, he or she should join a blogging community.

he's trying...
to get Cherry’s aproval. Mike want’s Don’s job, so what better way than to be just like him, and be outraged at the same things. Don’s had his panties in a bunch ever since Ronnie came to Toronto. So, apropos, Mike’s panties, also bunched.

Don Cherry doesn’t like Ron Wilson either, but at least he criticizes Wilson in a humorous way without sounding like a baby.

Totally off topic here, but does anyone remember the story about the friendly fire case where some Canadian soldiers were killed by US aircraft. When the pilots were asked why they had opened fire even though they had been advised not to, the replied that their judgement had been impaired by the amphetamines the military were giving them.
What a great recruiting tool. A massive sign with “Join the Army. Free speed” on it
Then you realise that it’s no wonder Afghanistan is so fucked up. It’s full of soldiers mired in the depths of amphetamine psychosis.
There’s the dude who sits rocking backwards and forwards on his heels saying, “I’m not going in the cave. I don’t like it. It’s dark, it’s spooky. I don’t like it. I don’t like it..”
There’s another guy who’s been up for three days sitting in the armoury counting bullets. “273,401… 273,402…273,403…”
And he’s got a mate who spends all his time talking to an invisible penguin called Gerald about the ending of No Country For Old Men.
Not the best way to run a war, I feel.

Why is the media populated by failed sports executives?
If a company goes tits-up, the business press doesn’t hire the CEO as a columnist.
Garth Drabinsky didn’t get a gig as a theatre critic after the livent fiasco.
Only in the world of sports can a man be one of the worst in his position (and certainly there can be few GMs worse than Milbury) and within hours of being terminated clip on the microphone and be a so-called media expert.
If Milbury wants to be taken seriously, he should have to file a once a week column pointing out all of his idiot moves as GM. I’ll get him started:
Bertuzzi, McCabe, 3rd round pick for Trevor Linden
Spezza, Chara, and Muckalt for Alexi Yashin
Luongo and Jokinen for Mark Parrish and Oleg Kvasha
Chris Osgood for Justin Papineau

Milbury is such a twat
He wants to bring in player history here? He, one of the most laughed-about GM’s in the history of the sport? Funny that he brings salary into this as well, as I guess he’s back to mac and cheese with what the CBC must be paying him to resemble a human sphincter on air.
Mike, you exist for one reason: To say retardedly obtuse things and then get into a ridiculous piss match with Al Strachan on who can be the biggest douche with a foot in their mouth and a fist in their ass.
