Wow...
…only took him the last game of 2008 to get his first win. Now that he has his milestone (personal to boot) we can now put him out to pasture and Leafs can have Pogge and Toskala to shared to load for the balance of the season.
Somehow I don’t think that is going to happen (as much sense as it makes)

I love the Maple Leafs and all the Blue and White

Unfortunately..
..we can thank Atlanta if we don’t get Tavares or Hedman.
Thankfully the Leafs made them take an overtime point.

CuuuuuuuuuuuuuuJooooooooooooo!
Stopped 29 of 32 shots and after a shaky first period stopped 23 of 24 in the 2nd and 3rd to allow the Leafs to climb back into the game.
The crowd really gave the Leafs solid support tonight too. I think they really wanted to see Joseph win.

He really deserved this after the shitty outcomes so far this year.
Now please retire Cujo.

Any retirement will have to wait until after Thursday, since Cujo’s starting again if I’m not mistaken.
I was under the impression he was starting Thursday vs Buffalo.

I missed the game as we took the kids skating down at Nathan Philips’ Square and then out for pizza…how did the Leafs look? I thought they’d lose with Cujo in nets…

not bad
They started off slowly – gave up two goals in something like the first seven or so minutes, and weren’t coming back to help Joseph defensively at all. They started skating a lot harder and really played well for the rest of the game, good passes, their power play looked solid. Atlanta’s goaltending kept them in it until they could tie it up, and they scored in overtime on a power play to win.
Sorry I can’t be more detailed – I’m not a big hockey analysis person with the numbers and line matchups and stuff. That seems too much like work, and I just like to watch for fun.

Thanks – that’s the stuff I was hoping to hear, just a general feeling for the game (e.g. did they deserve the win or not).

Definitely deserved the win. They didn’t get down after the quick deficit, just dug in and methodically started to play better until they could come back. It was nice to see them get the win in front of a crowd that was louder by the minute.

Hooray Leafs! I caught the OT while sitting in the parking lot at SBP.

Good for the dog...
it looked like the guys were really happy for Cujo. Even though he now sucks, he’s still a great presence in the room.
I think lordosis is right, he’ll make a great goalie coach.
What a career. Way to go, Cujo.

"he’ll make a great goalie coach."
His coaching of Vesa isn’t helping much. It doesn’t help that Corey “I played a 108 games and won 34 of them” Hirsch is the current goalie coach.
Rebuilding, not tanking
that...
is precisely the problem. I don’t know if goalie coaches are hard to come by, but it seems to me the Leafs could stand to find someone with a little more clout or success at the position.
