Yes!

Now THAT is the way to tank! The Panthers looked like the freaking Globetrotters out there ("Come on! He was using a ladder!").

Just a couple dozen more like that and young Stamkos will be awkwardly wearing a Leafs trucker cap on draft day!

Leafs = the Washington Generals of the NHL

The Leafs should keep that bucket on hand for games like this (or for when one of their players has a meltdown - Antropov likely would have gotten a game at most for soaking Koharski with a big bucket o'confetti).

Anyone else think if JFJ were still GM his big move at the trade deadline would be sacrificing more picks and youth for Meadowlark Lemon and Curly Neal?

The main thing

I forget every time I think a positive thought about the Maple Leafs is that they don't try hard every night. The lack of effort, lack of leadership from our veterans, and lack of preparation from our coach is the unequivocal reason this team needs to blown up. Problem is I don't think it can be done. If McCabe, Kubina, Tucker, Blake, Kaberle won't give up their no-trade clause there is nothing we can do. Buy outs will hamstring our salary cap for the future we want to build towards and there will be little use in trading those that we can if it means keeping this group of underachievers together. Is there such thing as a dispersal draft?

Mo' Money Mo' Problems

Stupid MLSE let it leak that they have a buy-out fund. What incentive do these guys have to waive their no-trade clauses when they can just wait, get paid, and then sign with another team?

It's clearly not a matter of pride as was evident by their performance last night.

Massive buy-outs will kill the team. I think that they have to threaten making them play out their contracts on the Marlies if they don't waive their NTC.

I am going to search the CBA because I thought it was 3 ever but Howard Berger said it was 3 a year. Based on Berger's past I am guessing that you and I are right.
