Leafs' Fan Playoff Guide - Part 2 - Lez Handi-taunts
Ed.'s Note: I am back from Columbus in body if not in mind (read: definitely not in mind. I need about 4 more days of sleep) and found LFIV's second installment in the Leafs' Fan Playoff Guide. Read on:
Continuing the roll from Part 1 regarding the Sens, this time around Montreal gets "Les Treatmente"

The Montreal Canadiens
Hatred Level: Ultimate
Years Since Last Cup: 15
Past Playoff Appearances: a buttload
Past Playoff defeats by the Leafs: 6 (best not to mention the reverse of this stat)
Possible holders of the "most annoying fans" title in the league, whose notable attributes include annoying "ole ole" chants, engaging in intense speculation of the french speaking ability of their players, wearing the habs jerseys to games where the habs aren't even playing, and starting riots for pretty much whatever reason. This is a team who had a functionally illiterate head coach for their last cup win. The organization and fans also has a habit of destroying the confidence of goaltenders (see: Roy, Patrick; Theodore, Jose; Price, Carey (2009/2010)) who go on to regain their form/confidence playing in Colorado.
Current Potential Opposition: Philthydelphia
Record: 4-0
Chances: Pretty damn good given the regular season series. As both the teams in this match up are confirmed leaf-enemies, we can hope they beat the holy crap out of each other in a bloody 7 game series.
Cheer against them? Tough call. Cheering for either the Habs or Philly is a disgusting prospect. However, the average Leaf fan probably has to endure more mockery from local Habs fan (due to proximity) so perhaps Philly is the lesser of two evils. Hoping for a long, injury plagued playoff series is a perfectly acceptable substitute.

two evils
Philly, the lesser of two evils....I never thought I'd see the day....but then Buffalo played that part last year, and failed....jerks.

Is it ethical, o wise one...
...to root for the roof to fall in, such that:
(a)no players are killed, permanently injured or maimed; and
(b) no innocent bystanders suffer any injury whatsoever;
(c) nevertheless, owing to the amount of injury and destruction, the series cannot be played; and
(d) no winner is therefore declared?
I'm just askin', 'cause that might be my choice.
Better Option
I think that is the best option and totally defensible because no one gets hurt.
Hoping for a long, injury plagued playoff series is a perfectly acceptable substitute.
That's a great backup. Montreal's already gotten a head start with the injuries so Philly is only one or two Steve Downie hits away from getting past them.
