Muskoka Five Breakfast Club?

Star-divide

Yesterday at work the radio station played the theme from "The Breakfast Club." Since I tend to have an overactive imagination, it got me thinking about the infamous Muskoka five and who they might match up to. It's been quite a while since I've seen The Breakfast Club (and I was probably drinking since I had the day off from working retail) so my memory is not so sharp, but I think this is how they'd line up. Feel free to discuss it below:

Kaberle: the nerd guy

Sundin:Molly Ringwald

Kubina: Judd Nelson

McCabe:Creepy  girl who doesn't say much

Tucker: The jock guy (secretly hopes his knee will blow out so people will leave him alone

The opinions expressed here are not necessarily those of the blog's editor but they haven't been deleted yet so they're probably okay.

HAHAHAHA

Only thing is no way Kaberle smokes pot. Ever.

Tucker is just misunderstood although it’s not his dad it’s his brother-in-law Shayne.

no way Kaberle smokes pot. Ever.

Makes me thinks of Blazing Saddles:

“look at that hand” “steady as a rock” “yeah but I shoot with this one (holds up hand shaking )”

Kaberle’s lack of shooting all makes sense now!

The Breakfast Five

Like the concept, LD, but I have my own thoughts on the casting:
Tucker as Emilio (for sure)
Kabina as Ally Sheedy (the weird one that never says anything and then suddenly wants to be part of the group)
That means McCabe is the leather jacket wearing Judd (Answer the question, Kaberle!)
Kaberle, of coure, is my Molly Ringwald (and always will be now, thanks LD)
And so I guess Mats would be Anthony Michael Hall, the shy, nervous, yet highly amicable over/under-achiever. And I can see all of them smoking pot, given their lack of motivation.
Finally, I like Maurice in the role of the buffoon teacher over Wilson, but in the re-make only. Not in reality.

Let’s have a contest to see who can re-write the Breakfast Club Theme. Completely original music, but we’ll still call it The Breakfast Club Theme Song and forget about the other one that everybody already knows.

Is that the one with Count Chocula and Captain Crunch?

Hit up the first version and put out the challenge GB :)

Challange

Interesting Idea. As PPP said, put up the first one. This could be fun.

I personally always thought of the Babyface crew as the Goonies.
Chunk – Wellwood (what got me thinking of it)
Micky- Stajan
Mouth- Steen

I’m not too sure on who would be Data,Sloth or any of the rest though.

lyrics (original)

Artist: Simple Minds
Song: Don’t You (Forget About Me)

Hey, hey, hey ,hey
Ohhh…

Won’t you come see about me?
I’ll be alone, dancing you know it baby

Tell me your troubles and doubts
Giving me everything inside and out and
Love’s strange so real in the dark
Think of the tender things that we were working on

Slow change may pull us apart
When the light gets into your heart, baby

Don’t You Forget About Me
Don’t Don’t Don’t Don’t
Don’t You Forget About Me

Will you stand above me?
Look my way, never love me
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down

Will you recognise me?
Call my name or walk on by
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down, down

Hey, hey, hey, hey
Ohhhh…..

Don’t you try to pretend
It’s my feeling we’ll win in the end
I won’t harm you or touch your defenses
Vanity and security

Don’t you forget about me
I’ll be alone, dancing you know it baby
Going to take you apart
I’ll put us back together at heart, baby

Don’t You Forget About Me
Don’t Don’t Don’t Don’t
Don’t You Forget About Me

As you walk on by
Will you call my name?
As you walk on by
Will you call my name?
When you walk away

Or will you walk away?
Will you walk on by?
Come on – call my name
Will you all my name?

I say :
La la la.

Will you call my name?

Reads like a Draft Day anthem. Poor kids
