Leaf Deathwatch
Who will be the next body over the side, a victim of Uncle Cliff? Now with Poll goodness!

- Raycroft
- Wellwood
- Tucker
- Sundin (Probably)
- Pohl
Who's next? The Muskoka 5 is now the Muskoka 3. Of those I would figure only Kaberle is genuinely safe, although who's to say if a team wanted him for a bevy of picks/prospects?
Perhaps if there are a few suitor teams for Brian Campbell, the losers might take a look at McCabe? Granted he doesn't have the puck moving abilities, but a spurned team is often desperate to make a move to cover up their ineptitude at the offer table.
Post your picks for the next Leaf to have his name cruelly ripped from the back of a blue and white jersey. The winner gets not a prize, but glory everlasting!
The opinions expressed here are not necessarily those of the blog's editor but they haven't been deleted yet so they're probably okay.

Bell
..should never have been here, or should have been sent to the Marlies once it was clear there was dressing room chemistry problems. The damage has already been done, a wasted season, the team gets blown up, his value is less then zero. It couldn’t get worse for Bell, but it might get better.

what if someone voluntarily leaves (retires or something)?
I really hope I’m wrong, but Stajan

Yeah, retirements (coughBlakecough) or trades will count too.
I could see Bell sticking around to put the fear of god into roving senators.

I vote Kubina.
Fletcher still hasn’t forgiven him for his trade deadline fake-out. And I get the sense that this has become personal for old Cliff.

what if...
somebody has a “terrible accident”?
Just sayin’
The Wonderful World of Loser Domi does not support any activities resulting in the death and/or severe injury of the Maple Leafs

Terrible is perhaps too strong.. How about “unfortunate” or “slightly embarrassing” in the accident department.
Bryan McCabe suffered the unfortunate accident of having his big toe crushed by an out of control hot dog cart. His career in the NHL is now over.

Is Tonya Harding available?
Out of prison, off her medication, not working as a crack whore, etc.

you may be on to something
Wellwood “broke” his foot, if you believe the story, “warming up for indoor soccer”.
Mafia-sledgehammer-Pat Quinn-style-payback-indoor-soccer, that is. And then there were those incriminating photographs of him and a lifeguard all over the internet. Uh-huh… And Kilger just “dissapears”? I’d be careful if I was McCabe. Real careful.
