FTB - Now With 30% More Pizazz!
Right in to the links:
- Sean probably knows more about hockey than we do.
- Steve is happy that Uncle Cliff knows rebuilding will take a while. He also takes a look at the drafting habits of the Quebec Nordiques.
- Jared talks about getting his hair cut, making toast, and some hockey team.
- From The Two Line Pass, the Ottawa Senators are having trouble scoring on 13 year olds, and I'm not referencing Alfie's failed playground pick up attempts.
- Puck Daddy decides that the Maple Leafs are fantasy team cancer. We could have told him that years ago. (Does anyone here like fantasy sports? Bleh.)
Don't forget to post a Fanshot or Fanpost, unless you want General Borschevsky to be the first winner with a video about ping pong. He's getting the Allan Bester pin everyone wants if he's the only entrant this week.

So can we put the Montreal rumour to rest? Gainey’s complaining about being left to flap in the wind.

Maybe Sundin made his mind up and the Leafs know it, he’s just letting Montreal dangle for laughs.

Better then "best"? It can only be Bester!
letting Montreal dangle
Brilliant plan, brilliant execution.
He doesn’t seem interested either way. He has not asked any questions about our organization.
Ha ha, suckers. That’ll teach Carbonneau to keep his mouth shut.

When even Bob Gainey is getting annoyed with you, you may have taken things too far.

Pin Competition
Maybe you guys need to know which one is up for grabs in order to increase the number of entries.
And no Jared, the Bester one is not on the line.

There’s a Fanpost and a Fanshot up now! 1967ers and Down Goes Brown have both vaulted past “ping pong spin around in circles” to fight for a pin!

obviously...
I loved the idea about a supporter’s section. That’s about the only reason to watch the Spengler Cup. Those european fans are crazy.

agreed. it would be nice if it didn’t cost three arms and a leg to attend a leafs game. but having a supporters section close to the action would be golden.
i’ve stopped paying to go to leafs games in toronto. i simply won’t do it anymore. i’d rather travel around and watch them in other cities where the atmosphere is better, and where tickets are cheaper. i went to games last season in toronto, both were given to me for free…one of them was the game where sundin became the all-time points leader…it was fate…
i also liked the relegation idea…relegation is the bestest thing, ever…

Relegation will never work in North America. It’s a non-starter. People don’t pay to see minor league sports if they have professional options.
The greens at face value are a decent value. I’ll pay for them. Otherwise they are gifts or standing room. Travelling makes the games much better too but man it sucks when the Leafs lose.

Does anyone else think it’s funny that most of the comments on Puck Daddy are about hating Wyshynski? For the record I really like Puck Daddy, I just can’t stop laughing at that one guy who signs every post with “Wyshynski you stink.”

That guy’s hilarious. I am pretty sure he writes a Canes blog and is kidding but he could just be that dedicated. The best is when they write that and Greg hasn’t even written it.
It’s hilarious because it’s a great blog and half the people just comment to say it sucks.
