HOOORAAAYYYY!!!!!!

I can’t stand the guy. I hope all the games against the Panthers from now on are on LeafsTV, that way I won’t have to see him again. Good riddance!

You don’t watch when the games are on LeafsTV? :(

LeafsTV is extra out our way

That’s a principled stand…It’s free in TO so I can watch it.

LeafsTV is an additional cost

that MLSE charges for the games when they could let TSN or Sportsnet or whoever show the games and let the ads pay for them. Why hit the fan again and again? That’s why I refuse to pay for the channel (I’m on Starchoice satellite).

You got it leosc. Hockey on TV, even the Leafs, has no value. I get to watch 70 NHL games a year for free on basic cable, why would I pay for a handful of mid-week games agains Florida and Atlanta. Leafs-TV is my chance to catch up with Bowen and Ralphie on the radio.

Ah, I live in the states so I have to pay for Center Ice ($150 a season) to watch the Leafs.

I’m waiting to hear Cox’s analysis.. Bad move, or the worst move?

by LeafFanInVan on Sep 2, 2008 6:44 PM EDT reply actions

Puzzling move as to why move out a steady all-star for another carlo would be my guess on cox’s take on the move…oh and let’s not forget that whoever they take with that late 4th rounder (which might of been thrown in there as a ‘hey sorry about the kilger thing’) will be the next superstar like zettiberg (or any other late round rarity he can use to “prove” his point) or something retarded… sorry for offending retards everywhere by grouping him with them, as he is much worse.

Good point. Considering the history (and the fact that Toronto will want a shot at Bouwmeester) that fourth is an apology for Kilger.

Basically, the trade is McCabe and a fourth for Van Ryn and a third. Looks like a freaking steal.

That makes some sense. He never even went to Florida did he? I’ve wondered whether Toronto should owe some kind of reparations to Florida over that. Cliff is a classy guy if nothing else and protecting his reputation (and the teams) is probably a wise move. I’m sure Cliff will get busy again later in the year and he’ll need credibility.

by Mirinov's Nose on Sep 2, 2008 9:04 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah, Kilger still hasn’t reported to the Panthers and that’s something that Fletcher doesn’t need hanging around because at this deadline he’ll probably have a list of guys that haven’t made the grade that will have to be moved. You never know who might have a bad impression of you because of something like that so better to nip that reaction in the bud.

Finally!!!!

Hopefully Sundin will now announce one of the above later this week;
1) retirement from the NHL
2) signed with team X where X does not equal Leafs.

Fourth Rounder?

Not a bad throw-in. Welcome to Toronto Mike!

I wonder what would have happened if Fletcher had asked for Kilger.

Jackie Martin would have had a stroke.
