FTB - Hump Day Eve Edition
Editor's note, our anonymous FTB posting continues this week! Email us your thoughts.
Our boys in blue came up goose eggs in last night's spirited (and by "spirited" I mean boring) affair. I'd have something to tell you about the game, but I was so bored, I must have passed out. On to the links!
- Torontosportsmedia is wondering who the real Matt Stajan is
- Jared goes all Street Fighter in the latest round of the LOLeaf Off
- Puck Daddy's asking the question on everyone's mind. For what it's worth, my answer is no
- The Program starts talking "All-Star" but left me thinking about Randy, Simon and Paula
- Kevin at Barry Melrose Rocks has the most pansified video ever
- MLHS takes a look at the other, other goaltender in the Leafs cupboard
- Speaking of gaolies, the Puck Huffers may be Pens fans, but they love them some Vesa
- The Tororontoist wants you to know, the tank job is on
- Wrap Around Curl watches the Rock of Love,so that we don't have to
- MLHS has some trade rumours for you to chew on. I like door number two
- Have you ever wondered where and when hoceky first began? This post has none of the answers....
- As long as you paid $800 for seats, you might as well get the full experience at a Leafs game.

If Harold Ballard can be in the Hall despite ruining hockey’s greatest franchise, then Don Cherry gets in no question.

No doubt
If Cherry doesn’t get in the Hall then the Hall is broken.

Why can’t we quit them?

So does anyone have thoughts on the last two FTBs?

I’m just trying to figure out who the mystery guest posters are.
I have some Ideas

It hurts me to no end that both of the mystery FTBers have completely ignored tons of new content over at my lovely little blog. Kerry Fraser, Tom Fergus on a stretcher, sexy ol’ Pat Boutette. What do they want? Blood?! Well, there’s some of that over there too!!!
It depends
On whose blood. Very important.

We can pretend
It’s Kerry Fraser’s

just use pigs blood, its close enough

i try to space em out. That way they are more profound and no one starts to expect em.

That’s probably my fault, I don’t have your blog in my RSS reader, and I exported my RSS feeds for the mystery FTBers. I’ll add you right now.

as per usual, I have no idea what that means, but it sounds like a good thing. thanks!
also, someone spelled “goalies” wrong up there. the a and o are switched.
beyond that – both of the mystery FTBs have been solid.

This
Will take awhile to get used to…

I hate the Devils, for various and perfectly legitimate reasons but I love Shanny so… am feeling extremely conflicted.

I’ve always liked land whale Brodeur, and Neids when he was a Devil, so its old hat to me

i like shanny, and if we were building to something, rather than tearing it down, i’d say “sign him”

Message to FTB Contestants
Taking a risk and failing is better than not taking a risk. Just FYI.
This wasn’t aimed at either of the two FTBs posted so far, just a general note.

Oddly enough, this is also the official slogan of the 2009 Leafs defense core.
Down Goes Brown - Unapologetically nostalgic for the past. Brutally realistic about the present. Grudgingly optimistic about the future.

I think it’s tough to create an FTB that really stands out…perhaps as a second challenge, the guest writers should have to come up with something that a) takes an item off your plate that you don’t want to do; b) is more creatively challenging and c) involves MSpaint.

MS paint can solve all the worlds problems

I think it's tough
in part because if you hang out in the Chatty Cathy, it’s going to be rather easy to spot your personality and then people may be swayed more by what they know you’re like overall rather than the quality of the writing.
by Karina on Jan 20, 2009 12:39 PM EST up reply actions
That is part 2 of the challenge right before the talent competition.
MSPaint comes after the swimsuit competition.

oh god
I’m so glad you and Chemmy never modeled your swimsuits for us….

I however, am intrigued by the idea

How'd you know its a guy?

'cause
all the women regulars here are so attracted to various Leaf players that I suspect they’d be unable to do an FTB without a reference to “sexytime” or some hotness…
by Karina on Jan 20, 2009 11:41 AM EST up reply actions
that sounds kinda sexist
Because Taking The Leafs Seriously Is Not An Option
by JaredFromLondon on Jan 20, 2009 11:47 AM EST up reply actions
yeah… it does, doesn’t it?
I wouldn’t mind some sexytime being injected into the FTB.
As long as it’s not Chemmy and his bad sexytime stories…

You’re discriminating against Jammies?

I saw someone did one with “The Dude” which is pretty sweet.
I wanted to do one for WCH but I couldn’t think up a good enough caption. Any suggestions?
