the way we all build up our hopes to get him, it’s gonna really sting when the Islanders draft him.

I for one don’t think the Leafs will be in position to draft Tavares. If I keep thinking this way, I’ll be that more euphoric when the Leafs somehow manages to acquire him on draft day.
Besides, people should know who my draft love extends to anyway at this point. Even his initials are the same as the former Swedish what’s his face captain of the Leafs.
I think Luke Schenn
would like to have the Leafs to have some offensive power that doesn’t come in the form of Jason Blake

Just so long as they draft someone good. Even a semi-stud.
This thing needs to start going in the other direction.
Leaf, the universe and everything.
I agree, I don’t care who they draft as long as they turn out to be a good player and fits in well with the team.
For all we know Tavares could flop harder then a fish outta water (like Hasek when he makes a save)

I called it Optimistic Pessimism :) I am positive that the Leafs will lose the game but I hope that in the long run it turns out well.
