Absolutely any single NHL calibre player can be taught basic PK skills like being aggressive, blocking shots, and taking away shooting and passing lanes.
Wilson has been putting out pylons for two years now. He’s either not coaching the PK well or not coaching it all all.
This team might turn out to be this bad because of the players. But the PK is the coach’s fault.

The penalty kill is the worst I have ever seen, the defense is awful, it feels like the 80’s all over again.
You would think for a team lacking in top offensive talent would be coached to play tighter defense. Other than busting Berger’s chops, I’m not sure what Wilson is good for …

I’m just being negative, I know, but you can’t tell me you’re not a tiny bit worried that we look like shit, have no picks in the first two rounds, and our star goaltender has a wonky groin?
I’m not saying panic button is necessary, but we all love to say ‘4 games in’. Good teams win some games on off nights, and bad teams have a future, what do we have?
