It’s hard for me to get a feel on this game trying to juggle between the online stream and the GDT, but it sounds like they are doing some things better tonight. Improvement is a positive.
I really hope they come back and win though. We all need this.

was resigned by Burke this past off season.
Frogren hasn’t done anything to remove himself from the equation.
Burke spoke in favour of Kaberle enough times this off season, it seemed he might want to adopt him.
Wilson and Burke are both fans of Stempniak, and White… Kulemin looks like he has promise as does Tlusty.

I'd say the fact that he was playing on a line with Bozak
and the fact that Bozak is 24 might have something to do with it. They need Bozak to develop almost immediately… they can afford to be patient with Tlusty.

White seems to be earning his keep
I want to trade players between my teams. Spoon can go to the Leafs (truculossity!), and Vesa can go to the Tigers, where conceding 6 points a game puts you at the top of the league, not the bottom.
Doesn’t matter he will be traded before the deadline.
And I love White and think he deserves much better treatment. But he will be gone just you watch.

Regardless, as a life long Leafs fan it even bothers me.

It’s never clarified. But its fairly commonly guessed to be Orr
Bobby was a fairly popular name in hockey at the time the song was written though and there is thoughts that the reason he wrote Bobby was because there were so many of them.

The problem I have with analyzing this Leafs club is

Nobody is remotely dangerous from a scoring perspective`
Which means the other team never has to take a penalty to yank them down, which means they don’t draw PP’s, which means they don’t get very many of them… and thus score like no goals.

Thus obviously John Mitchell was the most dangerous Leaf on the ice last season because he played well with Jason Blake?
The Grabovski, Ponikarovsky, and Kulemin line went gangbusters last year… which helped the rest of the team produce.
Pavel Kubina also had a great final 3rd of the season and carried the team offensively on some nights… we don’t have a Pavel Kubina right now.

92 points out of the final 76 games means going .605 for the remainder of the season from a points perspective.

As sad as that is
Antropov and Moore made the Leafs more dangerous. Moore made Blake dangerous, and Antropov made Ponikarovsky and Stajan better.
Without those two, those lines look a lot less… good.
