PPP Phantasy Puck D1 - Week 5 Recap

(Author's note:  This is something that I plan on doing every Monday, so keep checking the Fan Post Section for the latest on the internal battles being fought amongst the PPP following.)

Week #5 in PPPPP Division 1 has come to a close and the big news is that there's a new sheriff in town and his name is OdinMercer.  Helped along by a 6-2-1 shellacking of The Gold Standard, team Doan F With Phoenix overtook The Other Vatican who had been riding atop the leader board for 4 weeks straight.

Now I was fortunate enough to have the chance to interview the current PPPPP Division 1 leader OdinMercer of Five For Howling.  Here is our Q&A:

SF: First off.  Good job on being in the lead in November when it matters.  So, you're team must be stacked if you're in the lead.  Who are your team's 3 stars?

OM:  Patrick Marleau, Ilya Bryzgalov, and Loui Eriksson

SF: How about your biggest surprise and biggest let down.

OM: Keith Yandle leading my team in PIM with 23 is a shocker and I expected more out of Stephen Weiss (4G, 3A, -8, 2 PIM, 3PPP).

I would have asked about free agent pickups, but Odin is the only person in the league to not make a free agency acquisition.  In fact, the only move he has made is trading away Eric Staal, Adrian Aucoin, and JP Dumont in exchange for Shane Doan, Denis Grebeshkov, and Saku Koivu.  After the Staal and Dumont injuries, Odin has come out well ahead in that trade...over yours truly.  FML

SF: Lastly, any smack talk for the league?

OM: Have to be careful there... der Komisareks is a terrible team though.
