Phil Kessel Party Zone
I don't know why Mattblack doesn't have an FTB up yet. I'm certainly not about to write one so in lieu of that:
We haven't had an offensive threat like that in a long long time.

First of all, I think Vesa has earned at least one day of respite. He was flat out SOLID last night. The rest of this squad (what happened to our puck moving d-men?), minus Kessel, did not.
Toskala was (surprisingly) good, Kessel was kick ass, and the rest were just meh.

Toskala doesnt deserve the harassment i have given him. Its no wonder he gives up 5 goals a night when the team in front of him lazies about (Schenn!!!). Kessel is a true Superstar in the making. What a shot:
Quick Release, Sniper Rifle Accuracy, And Bullet speed. This guy is going to score a lot of goals for us. When we find him a centre……..droooooooooool even savard as a UFA
Toronto Maple Leafs: Bringin' The Pain Since 2009
He doesn't need a center,
He can do it on his own.
BTW, anyone notice how he shoots from the middle? The rest of the team is busy trying to get to a side and wait for a pass. Kessel was the only player to take good shots from the middle of the ice, where the goalie has to cover both of his sides.
It’s the NHL. Most keepers are comfortable up against a post with one side exposed. They thrive on it.
Holy Phil!
I was at my friend’s house watching the game last night, and in the 1st he was saying how the Kessel trade was bad and how he didn’t think he was that good etc… he did a complete 180 by the time he scored that second goal… superstar much?
Moustache Fever, not to be confused with swine flu.
Tosk was good..
but he still looked hesitant in net and i couldn’t help thinking that the second hawks goal wouldn’t have gone in if the pads covering the bottom of the net had been two or three inches more monstrous (monster puns are never bad puns no matter how weak the wordplay).. Kessel’s second goal made the game for me. the ring out of the crossbar followed by Huet reacting like somebody had fired a gun in the arena
If anything....
Phil Kessel made Marc Savard look good in Boston, not the other way around.
(Though Savard is a capable player himself)

By January, I fully expect PPP to have outsourced the bulk of writing on this site to a team of bloggers in Hyderabad or Bangalore.

Kessel <3
With each goal, Kessel is just endearing himself to us all. And he’s just adorkable with his Fargo accent and awkward interviewing skills.

I love how the interviewer spews out a 30 word question, just to get a “Uh, yeah”
