The Worst Hangover Ever...

That's how this season is starting to feel like for me.  The funny thing about hangovers though.  No matter how bad they are, you invariably find yourself in the same position again at some point.

Grabs + Kessel = mistake

And Gunnarsson looked sharp on Saturday night. He needs to stay up with the team.

by birky on Nov 16, 2009 8:26 AM EST reply actions

The question I ask myself is, what the hell can Burke do to try and salvage this season….. it sure seems like we’re fucked until next year again. Hopefully a UFA or two, combined with Hanson, Stalberg, Bozak and Kadri can turn this team around. I cant wait until the dead weight is off this roster, Wilson had better improve this teams defensive numbers as well.

I hope everyone gets over their Savard delusions because it looks like he’s go to re-sign in Boston soon.

by birky on Nov 16, 2009 9:43 AM EST up reply actions

Yeah

Same with Kovalchuk. Those kinds of guys aren’t hitting the open market.

even if Kovalchuck hits the open market, he wont be a Leaf, someone is going to offer him too much money for too many years and Burke wont bite on that. Same with Frolov.
Marleau though!

My late submission...

For anyone wanting a longer read. Kevin McGran put up a similar piece, but I had mine up first. McG also insinuates that the captaincy is Komisarek’s for the taking. I sincerely hope not.

Recycling is good for the environment, right?

I took one of my comments here and turned it into a post about the timing of the Kessel deal.

great blog and as much as I love Kessel, i totally agree. I am scared that Burke has messed up big time and we are heading into even darker days, especially is the big name UFA’s all resign before July 1st. Next year could be just as bad… I hope im wrong, please please please let me be wrong

Yea, Its hard to invision next years squad without Kadri, Stalberg, Hansona nd Bozak all playing a full time role on the club. Should be exciting, but it could mean just as bad of a season…

general question

Are blog entries written only after a certain point the night before get included in the branches?

-Bone's Corner

by BonesCorner on Nov 16, 2009 3:54 PM EST reply actions

Yes

Blurr writes his at around 9pm PST so if you write them afterwards he won’t get them. Also, it takes some time for posts to get into Google Reader.

If it’s not in there it’s not because Blurr hates you. Feel free to dump a direct link in the comments and I’ll update it when I get to work.
