Leafs 2 Caps 1 (SO)

Personally I can't believe we won a game where we only scored once in regulation. I also can't believe the Leafs won in a shootout and I can't believe they only gave up one goal. I also firmly believe as soon as I admit Toskala played well he'll go back to sucking so I won't do that.

This whole post is just an excuse to post RALLY HELMETS basically.

RALLY HELMETS.

Should the team do this during every shootout, or should we leave it in the past as a gimmick?

Boo hoo!

Considering the Leafs absolutely stink with shootouts, I say run with the rally buckets until they lose the shootout again. That may just be next game, but what a ride!

Yeah.

If it’s a running joke that draws the team a little closer together, they might as well run with it.

If it works next time

Expect to see the whole ACC spin their hats backwards

looks so very happy there. Totally squee worthy, just for the picture. Not for on ice play or anything else, just that picture

Rally Helmets

Were it safe enough, I’d say they should wear rally helmets 60 minutes a night until they lose again.

Actually, screw safety. Do it anyways.

Call me superstitious, but I'm pretty sure the Leafs do better when I'm drinking.

Matt Stajan

should be the honorary rally helmet guy.. we don’t care if he gets hurt and it keeps what luck they brought last night going

It’s not like most players bother to wear the thing properly anyways…

Not to cause concern, but I noticed, at least at first, that Beauchemin didn’t turn his helmet backwards. Too cool for school?

by The Muppet on Nov 22, 2009 8:50 PM EST reply actions

He probably didn’t notice- too busy giving Ovie the laser focus. Although it’s not the first time I’ve said that he appears to not exactly “fit in” with the rest of the team. I think he may be the only Quebec-born player on the team- coincidence?

I am Mikhail Grabovski's smirking revenge.

haha, I was just about to say he was too busy ice grilling Ovie, no wonder he missed the net clean

I got so into the whole idea last night that I twisted my helmet backwards too.

Side note, the wifi here in the emeregency room is top notch.

That begs the question, why were you wearing your helmet in an emergency room?
