Shoalts must have got a mandate to increase readership. Last year it was the twitter account, now it’s blaming moron Leafs fans for being inundated with confusing messages by the very media he works for as a columnist.

I didn’t even know Houston had a blog. There’s some great stuff on there, I hope he keeps up with it.

Of course, it makes you wonder why he never wrote stuff like this when he was employed.

There’s an interesting thing on that site about Strachan getting fired from the CBC for using the Hockey Night in Canada name without consent on that “Why the Leafs Suck” book. You know, it’s funny, but I didn’t even notice him being gone, and I may be the only one who didn’t hear about this. In any case, if he was a part of the crazy Leaf-bashing that went on, it’d serve him right. I guess that’s Karma for you.

I don’t dislike Jeff Marek as much as most of their on-air personalities, but there will only ever be one Ron MacLean.

I know it’s easy to rag on Shoalts (just look at a picture of the dope), but his article wasn’t that out of line. If he hasn’t found PPP then he could easily be reading the comments that “fans” make on MLHS, The Star, Toronto Sun, Globe and Mail, et al. – in which case it’s not hard to see why he thinks Leafs fans are being idiots right now.

I’ll cut him some slack, that article only rates 1.5 Berger heads on a scale out of 10 Berger heads (10 being where you self-destruct and go postal on your readership).

If you have any doubt, go read the MLHS comments right now. There are some genuine idiots who walk amongst us.
