PPPPD1 Week 8 Recap - Karina is Victorious Edition

First off, gotta give some dap to the lovely lady from Vancouver, B.C. whose team GottaBeKD defeated article1's Sunshine on Leith by the score of 4-2-3; with wins coming in the assist, +/-, PIM, and save % categories. It was an extremly close matchup as the winner of each category only did so by one or two points; with Karina's .948 just besting article1's .923.
At the other end of the spectrum, for the third week in a row we have a new leader. Leaf in Habland's Newmarket Saints holds a 1 point lead over Clawson and his Moustache Rides. The Saints had a 4-2-3 win over PPP's Benevolent Overlords.

In the RSMW for Week 8, it was The Other Vatican coming out on top over the furciferous ones by a score of 5-3-2. He got some help with a good week by Dany Heatley Milan Michalek and Steven Stamkos. This means that two of you voted incorrectly last week.
And that brings up to this week's RANDOM SHOWCASE MATCHUP OF THE WEEK!!
From the land of snow, baquettes, and francophones I bring you Leaf in Habland and his Newmarket Saints! And his opponent; the Barilkosphere's original shister hailing from the nutmeg state Chemmy and team der Komisareks. The Saints have the best defensive core in the league with Dion Phanuef, Chris Pronger, and Nicklas Lindstrom (how did he get all 3 of them?!?!?) as well as the always solid Miikka Kiprusoff in net. der Komisareks have rookie standouts Michael Del Zotto, James van Riemsdyk, and the pass master himself Joe Thornton. Oh and 280 PIM. Sheesh!

In other news I need to move out some D and would like to upgrade my goal scoring. I’ll say Michael del Zotto is on the block but I’d like to package him with a right wing (Wayne Simmonds?) in return for a pretty good right winger. Lemme know.

Don’t do that trade. Picard is available on waivers and he’s just ranked one below Del Zotto. Steve Downie and Dustin Byfuglien are also available on waivers and worth more than Kovie. You could get players of the calibre he’s offering, without giving up anything.
