The Carolina Hurricanes, already without Eric Staal, may also be without Ray Whitney and Tuomo Ruutu for tomorrow night's game against the Maple Leafs.
Staal, Whitney, and Ruutu make up the 'Canes first line.
The Hurricanes have called up Zach Boychuk, who will play in his first NHL game.

Need to win
Not just because their record is terrible of late, but because if they lose, this will absolutely shatter any sense of “confidence” they have built over the past 5 or 6 games
here is hoping gustavasson gets the nod and ward gets the night off

You're in Raleigh
I’m going to give you advance warning: do not get offended tomorrow.
Also, geez, that injury line-up screams Leafs loss

Raleigh itself isn’t so bad. But Canes fans know nothing about hockey. It’s a joke.
I don’t think I’m going to the game, though, so that wins they’ll probably win.

i kinda like hockey fans that dont really know the game (as long as they are trying to learn) its fucking adorable when they dont know when to cheer, or boo or whatever

Any hockey team with cheerleaders or “ice girls” or whatever euphemism they choose to describe scantily clad women bouncing up and down wearing team colours obviously has a fan base that doesn’t know much about hockey and needs supplementary entertainment in order to hold its attention through 60 minutes.

heh, this screams Toskala start to me, which means that’s probably the wrong decision.

I would prefer Toskala starting tomorrow and the Monster on Saturday, though a double-Monster would be amazing, who knowns if he can do back-to-backs
