Goose is a terrible nickname for Mr. Jonas “The Monster” Gustavsson who shall be referred to by his full and proper name out of respect.

There isn’t a better nickname for a goaltender then The Monster. It’s already a huge part of his mystique.
True Story
Yesterday the weather was so beautiful I took my 2 and a half year old daughter for a long walk to the park. There, at the tennis courts, a game of road hockey was being played by 12 to 14 guys. The goaltenders were wearing full equipment and I thought they must have been really hot. My daughter ran up to the tennis court fencing excitedly to get a closer look and then started shouting and pointing, “A Monster! It’s the Monster, Daddy. It’s the Monster!”
I fell over laughing.

we played our first tennis court ball hockey game yesterday as well. only there weren’t 14 of us, there was 7. we did have the goalies in full gear, which was nice.

i know all about that, i usually end a game with 5-6 giant slap shot bruises on my chest, arms and legs, part of the game .
of course if you’re playing in the winter a chest protector is used, a frozen no bounce has a similar kinetic dump as a puck (though a less concentrated surface area) and ive cracked ribs stopping those
