You keep hearing for four years ‘you guys suck, you guys don’t have a good team’ and stuff like that, it puts even more motivation over the summer, thinking ‘enough is enough'.

Wilson said in the press conference afterwards that he had a plan to rotate all the centers in for the ceremonial faceoffs to give all the young guys a chance to get that picture.

It was either a good cover story or he actually wants to make the guys feel like better players than they are. Good on him either way.

I’m actually in favour of White for the C but Kaberle is certainly making a strong case. Sadly, White will never get the C because everyone knows he’s just going to have to fight for his roster spot again every year, regardless.

Still, Kabs – you’re giving me hope that leaders are beginning to appear on this team!
