Kadri is now 16th in OHL scoring with 36 points in 27 games. This being compared to when he was around 40th two weeks ago.
He’s gonna be goooooood.
Boo hoo!
he also has almost double the PIM of any player ahead (or close behind) of him and in up to 5 less games played

TRUCULENCE.
If this kid can hit about 195lbs he’s going to be unstoppable.
Boo hoo!

Yeah really
I don’t expect him to be up around 195 when he is a rookie, but 2-3 years in the league and he’s gonna be a beast.
All it took was a visit from Burke
BB: Hey Nazem, can I see your hand? I took up palm reading.
Kadri: Umm…yessir
BB: I foresee a bright future but you see these here?
Kadri: My fingers?
BB: Sure. Well, they’ll be broken if you don’t start scoring.

Dear Mr. Kadri
please meet Mr. Burke’s minimum weight requirement in order to play for the Leafs in 2010.

I’m gonna say around 60 points in his rookie season, around 30 goals.
Probably not, but I’m being hopeful.
Boo hoo!

Should he be in the NHL next season?
Apparently the stats are ridiculous with college football players – the ones who do 4 years of college end up being much better players than the ones with 3. Should young Kadri have at least a year to grow into the AHL before he gets thrown into the NHL meat grinder?
and the Mustache of Truculence (formerly Canada4Mizzou)
it will depend on a lot of things.
If Kadri is really truely ready, he will make the jump. Burke has shown patience before with not rushing prospects like Ryan.
it also depends on the team changes, if Bozak is ready, if stajan resigns, if they sign a big name UFA, if mitchell can come back and put together a strong campaign
i wouldnt be surprised to see him get some second line time next year for sure

Is Kadri an overager right now? If not I’m ok with leaving him in the OHL.

i think you have to be 19 at the start of the season to be an overager

No
He’s not an overager.

Great, so 2010-2011 we’ll leave Kadri in London.

Hanson to Marlies
Hanson sent back to the marlies according to Jonas Siegel.
Wallin back in tomorrow night? I like the look of the team with him out but I don’t think he’s horrible.

I don’t think he has a concept of what “offense” is. His defensive positioning isn’t bad, but I don’t think he brings much else to the table.
Boo hoo!
by Chris Stoikoff on Dec 6, 2009 11:11 PM EST up reply actions
he has offensve potential, he’ll never be a 30 goal scorer, but he has potential to be a 20-25 goal scorer who makes his living with his ass in the goalies face knocking in the garbage

Kinda like Ponikarovsky?
It’s too bad that Hanson couldn’t stick but it was pretty clear that he isn’t quite ready for hockey at NHL speed.
Why do we do this to ourselves?
yeah, but he is way more physical than poni ever was or will be, i dont think he has the hands Poni does, but he will make up for it by making space

Are we talking about Hanson or Wallin here?
I was talking about Wallin.

ah, no, wallin is useless from the redline in

Mah point exactly.
Hanson has potential, but Wallin is a 5th liner outside of his own defensive zone.
Boo hoo!

At least its not just me
I can sort of see why Burke wanted him. But he is much worse offensively than anyone imagined.
He was given a different role up here though. He was a grinder and he did the job ok while the Leafs needed it but I think it makes sense to send him back down to work on some things.

comment fail, I was talking about Wallin too. I really liked Hanson’s game. He was fast and willing to use his big frame to throw hits and get in front of the net but I think he needs some time in the AHL to improve his finishing and boost his confidence.
