Around SBN: Why We're Skeptical Of LeBron James

Hey here is McGuire's team Canada. I will say I do agree with his team.

not bad

but Price had better pick up his play a LOT if he wants to be there.

It always boggles my mind how stacked Canada is on D and C. Wow. I can think of a few other D-men I would have no problem with too, Pronger for one.

I agree with the idea of throwing out the idea of the “role player” type guys and sticking with proven point getters who are defensibly responsible on the forward lines. Morrow-Richards-Doan for a shut down line? Yowza.

Too early to call

He basically threw almost every big name in the NHL on the roster, but fact is a lot of the guys he has listed are struggling this season. Brodeur’s been on injury for awhile, Luongo and Price are not exactly having good times in net, is Niedermayer even playing skill? Phaneuf is having an off year, Crosby’s and Vinny are both doing good but not having their best years compared to previous ones, Heatley is meh-ish and Richard’s has cooled off in Dallas.

But who knows, all those guys could get real hot again next year, but if the Olympics were being held right now that is most assuredly not the roster that Yzerman would field.

well its not just about how they are playing this year

its also about past international experiences. plus these guys have the first part of the season next year to prove why they should be on the team

It probably is, but its always fun to speculate. Also the Richards in question in Phillys Mike Richards
