Evidently not.

All these creeps should know better. But it turns out they need it beaten into them. Sadly, the NHL think 3 game suspensions appropriate. I think a golf club would work better.

Suspension will be less then 5 games I expect because Hagman left the ice on his own two feet (barely). If he’d gone off on a stretcher it could have been a 10 gamer.

To be honest, any amount of suspension would be a vacation for Witt since he “plays” for the Islanders. Make him stay on the ice for the entire game. The inevitable 5 game suspension isn’t going to make much of a difference, considering Witt has been one of the worst players statistically in the entire NHL this season.

Plus, did Witt think he was achieving anything by offering what I assume was a half-hearted apology to a woozy and unstable Hagman around the 0:28 mark?

any blatant intent to injure should carry a suspension no shorter than the number of games missed by the injured player.

Suspend him for the season.

That’d hurt his pocket and hammer the Islanders since they won’t be able to trade him. That way, teams might take a bit more interest in controlling these cockjockeys.

Wow, the Youtube video didn’t show me shouting “WITT YOU’RE FUCKING GARBAGE”.

I was in the seat closest to the door he got booted from, which meant I didn’t see the elbow until they showed it on the Jumbotron, I was yelling at Witt on principle.
