trying to build a foundation of winning makes sense. Isn’t that what Fletcher was concerned about when he cleaned up the room? Thing is, it’d be easier to win with an injection of youthful talent, as well.

It was always ridiculous to suggest that the players or coaches would actually lose on purpose. What could be done is to load the team up with as many kids and prospects as possible. Obviously there needs to be a balance with vets that can teach the kids the work ethic required in the NHL.
