brings up some good points that most people can agree with

unfortunately for me, the Star doesn’t have much credibility complaining about the CBC giving a guy like Cherry “a platform” when they themselves give someone like Damien Cox “a platform” as well.

Yeah, but Cox isn’t as incredibly offensive as Cherry has gotten as of late.

The irony there is that no leaf-hater outside of toronto probably even would read damien’s articles because they would assume he’s as blatantly pro-leaf as the local columnists usually are (see Gallagher, Tony)

Thats the thing I like most about The Don, he just doesnt care any more, he says what he wants to say when he wants to say it, sure its not exactly tactful or right, but he hasn’t let himself be censored. You know what he stands for straight out the box. There is nothing fake about him.
Its refreshing to me in a world where people are so obsessed about saying the right thing or the non-offensive thing all the time.

Cherry has good points, he just doesn’t deliver or present it well. On the otherhand, it’s refreshing to see a Canadian in the media who isn’t oozing political-correctness and isn’t afraid to piss everyone else off, for whatever its worth.

What they really need is subtitles, or a small bubble with an interpreter who can tell the audience what Cherry is really saying without the senile old man verbatim covering up his points
