PPP Dictionary: Man Grabs Lemon

The Man-Grabs-Lemon line is a refence to a line made up of Niklas Hagman (Man), Mikhail Grabovski (Grabs) and Nikolai Kulemin (lemon). If someone could clear up for me the origins of this term in the comments, I would most certainly be grateful for it. Please? I (Loser Domi) mean seriously, as long as I've been on this site and I JUST figured out what it was? Somebidy must know what the haymaker is going on.

I don’t recall their being a lot of magic or mystery behind the name. It just sort of works. I don’t recall where it first made it’s debut, I just know I’m not clever enough to come up with something like that on my own…

if i did, that’d be awesome….

i searched through PPP to see where it comes up, and the earliest I can find is something PPP says in a game preview against the Hurricanes. But, the way it’s written leads me to believe it was around before then…

I think it came from FHF because they had the Little Tits – Grabs – Big Tits line. Too bad they didn’t sign Hagman.

And it grew organically until some asshat at MLHS insulted blurr over it and then I called him a douche.

pretty sure it was an MLHS game recap and I amde mention of the fact that Man Grabs Lemon looked good, great awesome, whatever.

Capt Poopy Pants goes off on me saying he’s sick of hearing that name and that I must be retarded or something to that effect. I don’t really recall his specific insult, just that, for whatever reason, the image of a man grabbing a lemon is an insult on par with being a nazi sympathizer touring a holocaust museum for giggles.

I was going to take credit for this, because I found this quote from Chemmy and I remember the name coming up in a discussion we were having about what to call the line here:

“On the bright side, I think that we can officially call the Man Grabs Lemon (Koopa Kid?) line one of the Leafs’ most exciting in years, certainly in my memory.”

which seems to suggest that I came up with it (and I thought I did). Still, it was a group discussion and I can’t actually find the in-game thread where we talked about it, so I think it’s better to just assume that it has always been the Man-Grabs-Lemon line.

Keeping my mouth shut would be a better bet

At the risk of getting ostracized from this community, I’m not a big fan of this line name. Maybe it’s because my favourite rookie, not named Schenn, should have a more befitting nickname than Lemon, or maybe i’m just Major Killjoy. Sorry!

well his unofficial nick name is actually Kool-aid, but Lemon is used for the sake of a snappy line name
