It's certainly not a rare thing for you to visit any sports blog or message board and see the local reporters berated for being clueless, willfully misleading, petty, and bald. And that's just Damien Cox! But the truth is that most of these reporters bring those sorts of opinions on themselves. Yes, sometimes they are paid to offer opinions rather than report (not that many journalists do any reporting anyway) but they still need to be based in fact or at least consistent logic. I can't say that the Leafs haven't won a Cup since 1967 because unicorns became extinct after Punch Imlach...uhhh...punched the last one to death. You'd think I was nuts. Same thing with criticising the Leafs for drafting 5th in a 4 player draft when you previously said it was a 6 player draft when the Leafs were going to pick 7th. Anyway, for those of you unfamiliar with the Toronto Media scene click on the tag and you'll get a better idea of what I am talking about locally. As for Feschuk, seeing him cut out by Bosh and his resulting hissy fit let me just say this: couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
