The Habs Have Been DeCarbonnated
Weird. He didn't even lose to the Leafs March 21st yet. I guess it's a delayed reaction to the last beating the Leafs laid on the Habs. Who does Gainey think he is? Lou Lamoriello?
Note: Good work Jared on the title

I was going to make a Carbonara reference on S7S.
Decided against it. Still, hilarious.
Oh yeah, and way to steal the Lamoriello joke from me even though you posted this before I posted mine, PPP. I’m onto you.

The headline I want to see (from Jared)
The habs have been decarbonated
"So hide your passions in between the daily grind and broken dreams. The city is a drag."

Where's my credit for pointing it out
in the first place? I like being thanked.
"So hide your passions in between the daily grind and broken dreams. The city is a drag."

I meant the title
Godd Till, not the story. Sorry if that wasn’t clear.
"So hide your passions in between the daily grind and broken dreams. The city is a drag."
Weird
I don’t see a Godd Till fanshot…. ;)

Getting off to a great start, struggling as the season wears on, constant off-ice problems, firing your coach late in the season and having the GM take over?
I’ve seen this movie before… can’t quite put my finger on it. Pretty sure it worked out great, though.
Down Goes Brown - Unapologetically nostalgic for the past. Brutally realistic about the present. Grudgingly optimistic about the future.
Weird
I would have thought Gainey had seen that movie too especially since it aired in French.

can’t… stop… laughing…
all this needs is a riot (cop cars shall be torched) and it’s a perfect 99th season for a perfect team.
i am quite sad this didn’t happen after we spanked them, though. i like our rep as coach killers.

I keep saying
it was pre-emptive. They know they still have two games against us, and that it is inevitable that they would have fired Carbo after one of those games, so may as well let him go now.

if we beat them...
can bob gainey fire himself?

I think he has to.

what the what? I guess the drama that is les habitants got off the front page in montreal for a day or two so they had to stir it up a little.
Gerber power!!!1
he should have fired carbs 2 years ago when the leafs beat the habs to knock them out of the playoffs in the last game of the season.
gainey should have fired himself when he traded huet.
Yup
Especially considering how they had a big lead in that game.
Trading Huet was inexcusable.
