well the league took issue with the transaction at the time… i had assumed the leafs had amended the contract though.
If it was a violation to the CBA, it certainly didn’t need to take six+ months for the NHL to decide the Frogren deal wasn’t kosher. The timing of this decision is just poor, especially when teams are now being eligible to sign NCAA players.
