Of all the teams that need Tavares, I think the Islanders are one of them. This is a team that featured the likes of Bossy, Potvin (sucks!), Goring, Smith, and Trottier amongst others. They were once the model franchise back in the late 1970s and first half of the 1980s. I, for one, will not bash the Islanders. This was a good hockey area – hate to see them move to Kansas City or Las Vegas.

often “accountability” and “familiarity” take up the same real estate in people’s minds. Morrison likely knows the blowhards out there like Garrioch and so doesn’t really consider them when he talks about journalism and insiders. What Morrison doesn’t realize is that people pick their sources on the internet the same way they pick them through “credible” news sources in the regular journalism world.
Eklund can be damaging to the community’s credibility because of the amount of readers the guy gets, but loads of people read trashy papers too, and at least half the people that check that website do so for the entertainment factor than anything.

Most of the chafing is that the Old Boys Club is getting crashed by people that haven’t “paid their dues” or “studied journalism” or aren’t “white males”.
