Around SBN: Lance Berkman Could Have Torn ACL

Down to Six Series

This is our interest check and mid-afternoon hockey chit chat thread. I'm going to do this a little differently today and leave Sharks-Ducks off of the poll since it's the only late game on TV. Today's poll, which of the three 7-ish o'clock games are you most excited for?

(Yes I know Carolina plays at 7:30 and you can probably watch them during the other two games' intermissions. Shut up.)

Poll
Who are you watching?
Flyers @ Penguins

Damn stupid engineering awards dinner I have to attend tonight, interfering with my playoff hockey watching. Maybe they’ll be a TV at the bar.

Engineering awards? Shouldn’t those just automatically go to Chemmy and myself?

The Leafs were in a playoff spot in October. Fat lot of good that did.

Sadly .340’s not going to help us when we’re down to Purcey as our number 2 starter.

The lack of journalistic integrity there is shocking.

No wonder the Ducks lost when Rob Niedermeyer is distracted like that.

She needs to give Patrick Marleau an eyeful now in an effort to bring some neutrality back to her job.

I’m conflicted.

I’m definitely watching the Sharks – Ducks game, but I’m not sure about the first game.

Devils – Hurricanes has been a good series, but I can’t stand the Flyers and the thought of them getting eliminated makes me warm and fuzzy inside.

Why is that choice not on the poll?

I’m so not watching the Wings. Sad to say, but Columbus have been way overmatched.

I agree

I posted this earlier in CC. I can’t really get into any of the other series that are being played tonight. CBJ-DET and CAR-NJD are boring (for different reasons) and I can’t stand watching the Crosby love-fest on CBC whenever he plays.

I’ll lay off the hockey until 10:30

It does lack the irreverence that keeps us coming back here.

Depends what you’re looking for, I suppose.

For what it wants to be, it’s well put together. But their GDTs must be dull.

I wouldn’t use it as a primary resource, but I can appreciate that it’s well put together. It’s more like somewhere to go if you need to find something out or get some analysis.

It certainly has nowhere near the hang-out attraction or the banter value of here.
