Bruce Boudreau on his love of the Leafs
Thought you guys over here at PPP would be interested to see this writeup on Bruce Boudreau from thestar.com if you have not already. He talks about his life-long love of the Leafs and the author discusses how the Leafs handled him as a prospect. Worth a read.
And, of course, we'd love to have any willing parties back on the Caps' bandwagon again this year!

We’re in negotiations with a few teams for playoff bandwagoning.

For your consideration: The Boston Bruins.
(I know it’s unlikely, but who else? The Hurricanes?)

wow
that’s a great article. Makes you wonder what could’ve been.
Best quote in that article:
“Being mad at the Leafs is like being mad at your wife,” he says. “You might be mad, but there’s no way you’re leaving or going anywhere.”

actually...
my former co-worker lives next door to one of Dave Keon’s sons (not Dave Keon Jr. the other one) and he doesn’t talk to his father anymore, so I think there could be a difference between Boudreau and Keon in personality…

does it make it better
that my Canucks-loving husband, who grew up hating the Leafs, has given in and bought me a Leafs jersey?
His indoctrination is only beginning…

the foundation is being layed, dont worry, once the Canucks fail epically this year, and Matts retires, and the Leaf resurgence begins, he will be easily drawn to the dark side

it helped
that Linden’s now retired. Burrows and Kesler need to start sucking now and his emotional tie will begin to weaken further…

when they trade luongo or his groin snaps at an accelerated pace every season it will become all the easier

actually
he’s not really a Luongo lover. Lou’s ego sometimes becomes obvious in games… such as last night, when he went behind the net to collect the puck despite Willie Mitchell already being there, and when the Av player skated by him, he fell on the ice as if he’d been shot.
He flops as much as Forsberg.

all the easier
much better for you that he doesnt want to name his kid luongo and make you stare at pictures of him to make your possible future children look like him

no. If he ever wanted that, I’d divorce him on the spot, no questions asked.
Besides, any sons we have would have to be named Wendel and Luke.

And then there will be eyebeleaf with us at the meet up, the only one with a son named Mats…

And when its time to go, the kid will refuse and only leave when they have missed their bus, but insist it was because he loved the party too much and wanted to finish his youth there

St Louis is the easy choice
assuming they make it, since half the team used to be Leafs anyway.
