So, PPPers, who should we root for in the West? San Jose because of their handsome teal jerseys and warm weather? Columbus on their first trip to the postseason (yes)? Anaheim because we all love Pronger and Bobby Ryan?
If anybody selects Vancouver or Detroit (besides SkinnyFish), I'm going to let Moose start blogging full time about how great the Oilers are.

I think Howson has done a really great job with that club after Doug MacLean did some awfully stupid things. I also have a minor soft spot for Columbus after reading Future Greats and Heartbreaks.

The poll really needs a “none of the above” or “metor” option. I’ll spend my playoff time rooting for teams to lose, especially Vancouver and Calgary (how has Sutter not been roasted on a spit for his cap work?)

The problem with Columbus is, can you imagine the sick feeling in your gut as long-suffering Leaf fans if they won?? I think I’ll be less sad if Detroit wins, just because I’m used to it by now.
That being said, the teams I hate the least are Columbus and St Louis
Why? They’re a young team built from within, just like we should hope to be eventually.

the best reason to pick Columbus is the fact that they will knock out either Calgary (whom I’m wholly indifferent) or Vancouver (aka Wellwood and his Swedish Chefs, a team I have no desire to ever see win, and not because I dislike the town, just the team). And then when Nash comes in 2010, he’ll have valuable playoff series winning experience!

I’m rooting for Columbus too, Mason and Nash, gotta love those guys but I heart Thornton and he deserves some success and a win. But San Jose’s due, and I like their fans so if I had to bandwagon for a western team, they are it with the Blue Jackets a close second choice.

I gotta go with Chicago, Good young team and I have always liked Toews back from when he was 16 on the junior team.
I would go with Columbus, but I fear a decent run might help sway Nash to stay. And that would be bad.

THE ANSWER IS ST. LOUIS
St. Louis Game Time is the closest thing we have in America to PPP. Don’t think about the team, think about the Web site you’d hang out at during the games! We bring the funny, we bring the breakdowns, we bring the creative curse words. We’d break the commenting machine with one game.
I know the Leafs and Blues didn’t get along during the Chuck Norris Division days, but let’s bygones be bygones. Let’s unite the clans.

i’m temporarily lifting my ’can’t cheer for canadian teams’ rule for mats. this is only possible because i don’t personally know any canucks fans. also, i feel a little sorry for them… they’ve never won anything. and they get a lot of rain. and they have a horrible inferiority complex about Toronto. and they’ve never won anything.
i could also get behind the Blues – any resentment from the Norris days is long gone.
and Columbus? seriously? why would i cheer for another expansion team to win the cup. that would be a victory for Bettman – F that.
