Are You Going to Watch the Mem Cup?
I plan on watching the Memorial Cup, which starts Friday night. Sorry about the low content post, I just wanted an excuse to post this picture of Dale Mitchell, described by PPP as "what a fucking doofus".
PPP Update: Chemmy just called Mitchell his "favorite player on the Leafs already" which I guess means he likes him more than Luke Schenn. Take that for what you will but it sounds like blasphemy to me.

EXTREME TO THE MAX
The sad part is, Saturday could be an awesome game between two of our best prospects in Mitchell and Chris DiDomenico if not for the whole shattered femur thing. Rats. On to the schedule:
Friday 7pm Kelowna-Rimouski
Saturday 4:30pm Windsor-Drummondville
Sunday 4:30pm Rimouski-Windsor
Monday 7pm Kelowna-Drummondville
Tuesday 7pm Windsor-Kelowna
Wednesday 7pm Drummondville-Rimouski
Medal games to follow.

This is really funny. A very smart and diplomatic answer. It’s really appreciable and general.

Laughing at a guy’s face is always smart and diplomatic, but if anyone really is planning a wedding in Toronto you should really consider having it at Centre Island. Best kept secret in the city.

Cool…Can you get a non-religious marriage official to officiate?

Also scary, had we left him there Luke Schenn could be playing for Kelowna right now. Egads.

I know
Kelowna would steamroll everyone if they had Schenn.
I’m looking forward to watching them though, I have a soft spot for Jamie Benn

Go Spits Go!!
I’ve been following the Spitfires throughout their run through the OHL playoffs; actually went to Game 4 of the final last Wednesday night in Brampton. The Spits were my first-ever favourite team in any sport anywhere; as far as I was concerned, they were all that and a bag of chips before there even was all that and/or any chips.
Oh, and Andrew Engelage is unsigned and undrafted. Just sayin’, for an organization that is starting to sweat a little bit about a current goaltending prospect whose surname rhymes with “perogy”, we could maybe do worse than dropping a contract offer on the OHL’s top goaltender this year.

Hmmm…pour que, Chemmy? I know it can’t be the Karmanos link between the Spits and your formerly beloved Whale. There is certainly room aboard the bandwagon (and all help will be needed vs. Kelowna, I fear) but may I be so bold as to inquire why?

that would have been incredible to see.
Also, it is notable that Kelowna’s goalie is undrafted. I love his name. Guggenberger.

I was disappointed to see the Spits beat my old hometown team, the Knights. But the Spits have a hugely talented team, and your case is well written and thought out. Plus I’d like to see the Mem Cup go to the “O” again, so go Spits go it is.

I always thought there was some merit in Bob McCown’s idea of making the mem cup a bracket a la the NCAA final four. Not sure I’m sold on the idea, but it could be a pretty cool format…

They’d have to expand it to make up for the lost games though.

Yeah, there are a few ways they could do it. I think it would be fun to see 32 teams square off in a bracket, single elimination match up.

I’m crying because in North Bay we get Cogeco Cable, and only the deluxe package gets sportsnet. Can’t afford that package so no Mem Cup for me.
Internet feeds, maybe?
