Honestly between Detroit and Pittsburgh I’m torn.

Detroit’s already won a bunch of cups and they’re already the best so it’s not like their fans could possibly gloat any more, whereas if Pittsburgh wins it’ll be the 1994 Rangers all over again and we’ll never hear the end of it ever.

On the other hand, if Hossa ditched Pittsburgh to play in Detroit and Pittsburgh won? That’s pretty humorous in my book.

Yzerman and Ilitch got them out of the “Deadwings” era which helped the team get into position for the ‘93 draft and set the foundation for the reemergence of the Wings and the first 2 Cups. Listrom as we know him today didn’t emerge until the ’99 – ’00 season.

He was pretty d@mned good on those early teams, too. Maybe not Norris-esque, but you knew he was out there.

On the first Cup team, he wasn’t even the best defenseman. Could you imagine the Wings if Konstantinov were on the blue line for a decade? Damn limo driver.

One of the best things they ever did was to keep him as part of the team and let him be part of the later celebrations.

I actually had to threaten to kick the shit out of two 14 year olds the other day at the theatre because three polite requests that they stop talking during the movie were ignored.

I got claps from parents too which was kind of weird considering
a: I told the kids I’d be waiting for them in the parking lot
b: that would happen to their own kid

But yeah, bandwagon Pens fans suck too.
