Yea, I will admit that was the one good thing about AC when I flew to and from Spamcouver, their entertainment system was nice with lots of material and content. I got to watch a bunch of Discovery channel shows including Mythbusters inflight instead of a crappy movie. They actually had some good flicks including Dark Knight and this was back in December.

don’t worry, I hate AC, the entertainment system was the one saving grace, everything else was a complete disaster

actually the flight crew on my flight TO Spamcouver were generally good (one of them was actually hot, yes a hot AC flight attendant exists), the crew coming back was atrociously terrible and they were quite rude to me

in the future I’m going to fly Cathay Pacific as well, CP is pretty damned good

There are buses in Edinburgh with adverts on them that read

Fly Globespan to Toronto

And then in smaller letters underneath:

Hamilton

Which means they aren’t flying to Toronto at all.

I credit the NFL.

The marquee division in boxing are the heavyweights.

There hasn’t been a US contender in that division for years. Mostly, I think this is down to guys with that sort of physique and athletic ability are looking at getting into the NFL – where they can make more money, more quickly and retire earlier.

It doesn’t help that there isn’t a single, unified governing body in boxing, either.

I have always been a fan of the anti-hero, its why i am so pissed at how they cant make a decent punisher movie

the thing is, if you took all three previous attempts, you could mash together a good Punisher movie, but there is so much crap in there too

yeah, Warzone got the feel right, the thomas Jane flick got the story pretty close and the casting, the origional got the violence right

yeah, pretty much…I was kind of disappointed that they didn’t give Thomas Jane the reboot…he played the role well, up the ante on the violence and turning the tone to a darker more sinister feel could have done it

something weird

is going on. In Vancouver during the summer, it’s sunny and nice all week and then rains all weekend.
This year it’s different. It’s been sunny and nice the past 2 weekends, and then rained all week…..

funny...

how no matter what, it seems to be up to the US to police the world.

Essentially what you’re saying is that since the US is doing nothing about this dictator (save for leading diplomatic talks) then that absolves the rest of the world from military action?

But, if there was oil, well then, the US would be greedy war mongering bastards…

really? How do you live in Vancouver and “forget” how to drive in rain?
I do prefer rain while I’m at work. I have a view of the convention center and north shore mountains so when it’s sunny it’s very, very hard to stay in the office.

Traffic was really nutty today and lots of accidents on hwy 1. It seems pretty easy, people seem to forget that the roads will be especially slick after a long sunny spell what with the oil on the roads coming up. Didn’t see any accidents but I saw a couple close calls and a few backups that I presume were caused by accidents further up! People just drive too stupid-aggressive (ie aggressive for no reason, speeding up to a red light etc) in this town.

there are some very, very stupid drivers around here, it’s true…. at least in Ontario the slowies stick to the right or middle lanes and I could go around them on the left. Having only 2 lanes screws that all up.

I made the decision to become a slowie about a year ago. Best thing I could have done. I get into work completely unstressed, my gas mileage is through the roof, benefits abound.

Just park my backside in the right lane, let the cruise control do its thing. Wonderful.

It’s true, it is just a lot more sensible to go with the flow of traffic rather than being some kind of speed demon. I like to go fast, but only when it’s just me around!
