Yeah, that’s pretty much against the law and I don’t have a problem with that. This ain’t some country where we get to cut off the hands of thieves, after all. Reasonable force can be used, but putting the beat on someone, that ain’t cool.

Only the police are allowed to use force. It’s part of why they’re the police, and we don’t rely on vigilante justice.

actually you are allowed to use force as long as you are in danger of death or bodily harm, there is actually a one up rule, he uses his fists, you can smuck him with a bat, he comes at you with a bat, you can blow his insides to jelly with a 12 guage.
The thing is you have to stop all violence as soon as the threat is over, someone attacks you and you knock him cold or he runs away you cant touch em anymore.
But you can restrain someone (IE arrest them) when you find them committing a serious (indictable) offense (robbery being one of them) but you must at the soonest opportunity hand them over to a peace officer

Good Point
Shrek was great.

HATE shrek. Pale imitation of the Pixar movies, and it will age horribly because of all the pop-culture references. Many of them were already dated by the time it came out!

Even the first one? There were a ton in the second two, but the first had a bunch of references to disney films instead of all pop culture….from what I remember.

Myers (the Guru) is hired to save the marriage of the star player (affecting his game) when its determined that she’s having an affair with a French player (Timberlake, I think). I believe Alba was the owner that hires him. I think I’m close

How you have to be at peace and in love to win the cup?
So this means we blame Sundin’s ex for his never winning the cup in TO?

Basically the Leafs star sucks when he thinks his wife is getting nailed by the French dude but when he gets her love back he can play again.
Also, there is no dick joke left unturned and most are nowhere near humourous.

the whole thing is a horrible movie and I wish it had never been made, and that the NHL hadn’t let them use their official lisenced logos.

i was more impressed with the guy who did Kirk.
The entire time I watched him, it was like he was acting as Shatner, acting as Kirk. Not in a hammed up way either, or even an homage. Hard to explain. I just think they did an amazing job with the whole thing. Even my wife enjoyed it, and she’s not into action or sci-fi at all.
Of course, the hardcore Trekkies would argue that’s precisely why it sucks….

me too, because I think they were very very limited in what they could do in this one by having to sell the characters to the audience and create a story that allows the next one to be everything a Star Trek movie can be…..
although if it’s a Klingon movie, they better not have forehead ridges.

well basically, in the original series Klingons didn’t have them. They were later added. Enterprise, being before Kirk’s time, had Klingons with forehead ridges for some reason and then made up a convoluted story about there being a disease that caused a mutation in a percent of the population. Later encounter with humans would be by these ones who had lost their ridges so as to better infiltrate the humans.
It would’ve been better to leave it alone….
