Judge to make one ruling on Coyotes case
There will be no separate hearing regarding the amount for relocation, if it's determined that Balsille can move the team.

It’s hard reading into what this judge is going to do. I think he’s leaning towards siding with Moyes et al because the NHL hasn’t come up with any legitimate bidders.

I like what I’m hearing from this judge. He doesn’t seem to let either side get away with BS. I’ll admit that I’m getting excited, though. When I first heard that Balsillie was trying to buy the Coyotes, I thought it was hopeless, but lately, I can’t resist a little bit of optimism. Obviously, this could blow up in Balsillie’s face at any minute, but this whole ordeal has been a lot of fun to follow – and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. The thing is, if it actually works out, a team in Hamilton is going to confuse me, emotionally.
He’s not. He was very strongly telling the Moyes side they would have to pay to go to Hamilton. If he’s not hearing arguments on it I think it’s because they didn’t make a strong enough 363 and 365 case which he told them at the outset they would have to do.

Thats
the vibe, he’s already indicated that the NHL has a right to charge the Balsillie camp a relocation fee, honestly that’s really the only definitely thing he has said, he’s even brought into question whether he has the authority to just up and allow the team to remove to Hamilton

I feel like we’re going to end up right back in court over the issue of what constitutes a “reasonable” relocation fee. Because no matter what fees the NHL tries to make Balsillie pay (relocation fees, indemnity fees, bear taxes…), there’s no way that a reasonable person would conclude that moving a franchise that’s lost $300M in 13 years to the 9th largest metropolitan area in Canada is valued at the equivalent of the Toronto Maple Leafs franchise.
Hmm…that’s a possibility too. My only impression of the court proceedings have been through the tweets of the coyotes blogoshere and Toronto media. Since you were in the court you probably have a better idea.
Decision expected today?

Decision to come Tuesday, the 16th.
