he has club feet that he could deal with when he was younger but now that he’s getting older they’re getting worse and worse so he can’t skate anymore because his ankles won’t straighten out.

The past few days have sucked for me re: Sports
Wings lost, Jays lost while I was at the game on Saturday, The Lakers won, and not Italy is losing to the fuckin States.

I think the whole class argument has been blown way out of proportion. It reminds me of the 2007 playoffs when I was called classless when I argued with a Sens fan that cheering for the Sens because of Elgin Fraser was a stupid reason to cheer for a team and that the Sens were exploiting him and his illness.

You went on about a number of things. You went on about Pens fans, which was also bizarre, as every team’s fans jump ship when their team sucks (with the possible exception of the Leafs, but even some Leaf fans jump when it isn’t going well). But the stuff you said about Croxby was just beyond the pale. Yes, you did the lame “Crosby is classless” meme, but you also went on about him ‘not being a real leader’ because he was sitting with the injury during the game, and how “any real leader would have sucked it up and played instead of sitting”. And while I don’t love Crosby (or even like him all that much) anyone who actually thinks that is not only wrong, but has me questioning their intelligence.

The statement was nonsensical. He was sitting because he was too injured to play, and the mere fact that you’d think to use that to take a shot at his leadership skills is just sad. People sit when they are too injured and when someone else, be they less skilled or what, would do a better job. And just because you stopped making the argument when he came back doesn’t take that away.
And as for the notion that I’m only upset because he is Canadian, and that if you’d said the same about Malkin I wouldn’t have? Is insulting. It was wrong of you to say it because he’s an NHLer who wants to win and who had to make a tough choice. Period. I would have said the exact same thing had it been Malkin, Gonchar, Zetterberg, or whoever.

One last thing before I go.
The actual comment about Crosby was he should be on the bench, I even said that even if he doesnt play he has to be there.

Other than the Jays comment I agree completely.
I could have cared less who won the basketball. I didn’t even watch the game. I saw “The Hangover” instead which was a much better choice.
Jays losing was sad but I missed the game because I was out at a driving range so it wasn’t that bad.

I really hope that turns out nice, it’ll be fantastic to have a nice breeze when watching a football game. I’ve gone to games in Calgary and Ottawa and it is so much nicer outdoors!

it’ll just be nice for the interior to be brought up to code and the washrooms not to be horrible pieces of crap.

Yeah it’s such a dump. The slow shuffle of death while you exit after a big concert or something is just awful. everybody jamming thru those crappy airlock doors. Hate that place.

the airlock doors are one of the worst things I’ve ever experienced….

Yeah they could probably do better if they started fresh, even now could probably recoup a lot of the costs by adding more condo space too. Course the city would probably force them to put a bunch of low income stuff in there, driving off owners who would actually want to live there too..

not a clue, and I don’t think putting an art gallery on the waterfront is necesserily a good thing… sure it looks cool in Bilbao, but you often have to give on the gallery experience because everyone wants water views, and natural light is hell for art galleries….
I do need to see Rijksmuseum stuff the VAG currently has.
