Sedin Sisters seeking Zetterberg type contracts
According to a report on Swedish website expressen.se, Daniel and Henrik Sedin are looking for identical 12-year contracts worth $63 million each, similar to the one signed by fellow countryman Henrik Zetterberg with the Detroit Red Wings.

Bringing their cap hit down to the $4 million area would be more enticing.

That would be hysterical actually.

24 year contract?

HOLY SHIT
I’ll go for getting it down around $5M!
Might as well start doing everything Detroit does including circumventing the cap.

The Leafs will probably have to forfeit Schenn and five first round picks after the NHL voids the contract. Detroit will sign Darren Helm to a four hundred year long contract with a cap hit of negative $5 million per season the next day.

Alright then, scratching the Sedins off my wish list…

Reading the post from ’Nucks Misconduct makes me think they actually might be worth something close to this, but then again everyone thinks their child is adorable…..

Smells like a used diaper filled with indian food!
But seriously, their crazy long yet reasonable cap hit contract idea has me interested. They have been amazingly durable players and could be top producers for at least half of that contract length. I’m actually somewhat intrigued.
The savagery that the mittenstringers would attack such a contract if they did sign in TO would be incredible, though. Moreso than the savagery of the attacks if the sedins were “allowed” to get away and sign on elsewhere, but probably not by much.
