Money Balls
(MYFOX NATIONAL) - TMZ.com is reporting that a group of NHL players is suing Las Vegas developer Kenneth Jowdy for allegedly bilking them out of millions of dollars and then using the money to throw lavish parties that included escorts and strippers for some of the biggest stars in Major League Baseball history. The group of 19 NHL players including former New York Islanders captain Michael Peca and Sergei Gonchar of the Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins, claim that they each invested between $250,000 to $500,000 with Jowdy who allegedly was supposed to use the money to develop a luxury golf course and resort. According to the New York Post , Jowdy instead used the $25 million to throw parties complete with porn stars and hookers for some of his baseball buddies including Hall-of-Famers Reggie Jackson and Joe Morgan, all-time hits leader Pete Rose, and seven-time Cy Young award winner Roger Clemens.
