Jonas Gustavsson in Toronto
Colorado can use Peter Forsberg, San Jose can use their long history of solid goaltending and Dallas can use whatever it is they use. But none of them have the powers of JFM to seduce The Monster to their city.

Dallas uses.....
A great rapport with Swedish players, born from a great scouting system in Europe and especially in Sweden. Fabian Brunnstrom was in the same situation as Gustavsson last season, and chose Dallas. The Stars have a history of developing goaltenders and not only would he have the opportunity to learn behind Turco, but also the chance to make the transition to the NHL and make his play to be the number one guy in Dallas in 2010.
That being said, I still think Toronto has the best chance. But it’s close.

Brunnstrom would have signed in Vancouver if Nonis didn’t get canned midway through contract negotiations. Hopefully this helps Toronto get a leg up on three other strong candidates.
