They should not be immune to criticism… IF down the road Kadri is not developed and does not pan out for the Leafs.
I’m not sure now is the time to criticize. Burke stated he didn’t want to trade Luke Schenn, so that’s why he didn’t move up. I’m comfortable with that.
Being a Leaf fan here requires one to be sufficiently lubricated!

I think the Leafs cupboard is too bare to take a risk on an 18 year old playing on a fully re-built knee, which rules out Cowen.
No other team has been able to move up, which tells us how difficult it must be to make a deal.
I think it’s best to take a wait and see on Kadri. It’s likely he’ll play in junior again in 2009-10 anyways.
